I'd like to mention that Amazon offers free MP3 downloads of opera here. It's a good way to get some, but not necessarily.... the kind of opera that will get you hooked on it.

I recommend the band "Amici Forever" so totally. They did the theme song for the "Band of Brothers" series.

I've been listening to it off and on (off only because I couldn't find it easily) since I heard an aria clip in a very old electronic Encarta encyclopedia. I'd guess I was in my pre-teens then.

That sucks! Your CDs, if you have them, are probably better than what's up on Amazon anyway.

I've not yet had a chance to watch an opera. Well, there was something on PBS for ... My brain just blanked on the title. Don something. But it bored me. Maybe I just tried watching at a bad part. (Or maybe it was a bad production.) Would still love to try a live performance, though!

opera can be very fun at times...and annoying during others...but i guess i can say the same for almost all music genres.

but yes, i like opera
