Arc, do you have the full picture that is your avatar this month? I've not seen that figure before.

My CCS keychains are slowly arriving. I'll try and take a pic of all of them once I get them all. Also I found a great model supply store near me whose staff are very helpful when starting out with a model or figure kit for the first time. I might just have to get one of those resin figure kits soon and give it a go.

Personally, I don't like the figure that much (I believe it a custom job) however having after sizing an avatar from it, I thought the face shot looked cute so there you go.

I'm new to the tokyopop message boards. Actually, I was just googling CCS resin figurines, and I guess I got this because of some of yours, arcademan! They're really cool, I'd love to see more of them. Anyway, it's nice to find a board for CCS, I think I'll start stopping by here.

Welcome Monkeybucks! I always great to see another CCS fan - esp one that's into resin figures. Have you built any yourself? I've been pondering making one for a while...I just get nervous about painting the details right.

I have a couple of resin figures...still in the box. One of these days perhaps I will set one up and paint it however my skills toward painting is not very good so that's stopping me more than anything else.

Thanks for the welcome, adichappo and arcademan! I haven't made any resin figures before...I actually got quite excited when I saw all the CCS ones because I do like crafty things and it seemed like a cool thing to do. But then I looked up some websites about it, and it seems so complicated! I wish you could just handpaint them, but it seems that everyone airbrushes and the models are quite expensive in the first place, so if I mucked one up I'd be pretty annoyed. There are definitely some really beautiful CCS ones out there, though...maybe we should all get our courage up and give one a try! I'll go check out the figures thread now.

Which ones do you have in boxes, arcademan? There are definitely some stunning CCS ones I saw on my search, like one of her in a big butterfly dress. I guess she is a good character to make figures of because she has so many cute outfits, hahaha!

yeah, the airbrushing thing kinda turned me off too - esp since what I read about it, it seems to take quite alot of skill to get right. But hinestly don't think you HAVE to use airbrishing to paint a figure. My husband is currently building a model of the Apollo Saturn V rocket and he's hand painting it all - it looks fine! Albeit, it's not quite as detailed as say..Sakura's face, but really...i don't think you'd use an airbrush to paint her eyes anyway. I think I willk give it a go - I'll let you know how it comes out.

and for once, I get to do the Arc thing - I've got that one too!! I've currently got 4 in that colleciton that one, Syaoran, Sakura with with orange oven-mits and Sakura from the first season opener (in the red poofy dress)...they are incredibly hard to find! I saw the one of school-girl Sakura on ebay a few months ago - they wanted $99 for it tho!! Too much for me

They come up once in awhile on eBay and go for lots of $$$. The one I got I got lucky: $42 + free shipping. Came yesterday and as always pics don't do it justice.

I got two others recently (one you mentioned with the orange oven mitts and the gray costume one) unpackaged but well taken care of in a package set for only $28 which to me is a steal! I already have those 2 in their packages but the price was too good to pass up.
