Anime Ringtones -- What songs would work best?

What anime themesongs do you think would work best as ringtones? What songs would you personally want to use on your phone as ringtones?

Oohh, is Tokyopop thinking of licensing some? This is market research, isn't it? Sweet. XD Too bad I always have difficulties getting those things to be compatible with my phone if they're not sold by Sprint. :rolleyes:

Well, what kind of ringtones? Just the tune, or a "sound clip"? (I think I like the tune idea better, actually. ^^)

I would use either of the first two Bleach opening songs as ringtones. ("Asterisk" and "D-technoLife")

Or, almost any of the Nana theme songs! <3

(And, I have always wanted to use "Butter-fly," the Japanese opening for Digimon, as a ringtone, but I know that will never happen, seeing as the Japanese version of the show is not even licensed for distribution here...)

As long as they're MP3 ringtones and not the annoying mono or poly ringtones.

A song that can actually be heard is a good start. I can't pick songs since my taste in music is different to others. Put up a poll in the main site or here would get you better answers.

Yeah... Anime MIDI's for ringtones only work if it's like, a REALLY recognizable song (In other words, everyone's going to figure that's a cheapy already on the phone ringtone) I have a decent sounding MIDI version of Fukai Mori for a ringtone, but unfortunately, it doesn't start at the chorus, but at a boring intro.
The only somewhat, but not really, anime related MP3 ringtone I have on my phone currently is the I Am Ninja theme from askaninja.com.

I'm working on getting an MP3 version of Hare Hare Yukai for a ringtone, or Tsuki no KAASU.

I don't mind MIDI ringtones, but I'd much rather have an MP3 version of the song, because songs are more recognizable as MP3's... And the great majority of the songs I want as ringtones are unrecognizable to your everyday person.

I got some Tales of Symphonia MIDI ringtones off of Namco's store, and they sound great. It probably helped that the originals were all instrumental though.

Sailor Moon, of course!! Anything and everything from Sailor Moon.

Personally, I would pick any ringtone that was from a show I liked, so the opening and ending themes from popular anime would be the best option if you guys are looking into ringtones.

About 30seconds should do it. 10 seconds is too short.

30+ seconds is just enough to get the chorus(usually) and enough to get your attention.

Right now I'm using the One Missed Call/Chakushin Ari ringtone. It's nice but freaks me out every now and then when someone randomly SMS or calls me. Especially when I'm alone =__="

While you're add it, bring in the Hare Hare Yukai ring tone from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I'm using Blazing Beat from Initial D. It starts off low and then it grows louder and louder with a techno beat at the begining, it's very hard to miss when my phone's ringing. :D

I completely agree! I'd love either that one or Boogiepop's theme (I think it's Boogiepop's theme) from the boogiepop phantom anime. Some of the characters in BP actually have it on their phones in the anime. Unfortunately, right now I have an old POS Nokia trakphone from K-Mart and I've had to turn the sound off on it becasue it's so annoying. >__< I can't wait until I get a real cell phone.

Or "Catch You Catch Me" from CCS would be cool too, since it's already stuck in my head for the rest of eternity anyways.

I've had:
Zankoku Na Tenshi (cruel angels thesis) - Neon Genesis Evangelion
Shine (hellsing endtheme)
The world without logos (hellsing opening)
and the english and japanese versions of Simple and clean from kingdom hearts.
I think the opening theme from witch hunter robin would meake a nice ringtone... if you like that kinda thing.
