The title pretty much says it.

What's the bet duet you have ever heard?

Personally, I love duets.
..But somehow saying that sounds pretty strange...Because if you listen to a band with only two members it's pretty much the same thing; two people, two voices.

So what's the difference between a band with two members and two people singing a duet together.
Well. One of them is that you put two great singers together with no connections to (like a same band) each other (but music) to sing one duet together.
Or something.
Don't mind that. I just desperatly tried to offer you a reason why this thread should ever see the light of a sun.

So. What's the best duet you have ever heard?

And of course, mine are:

- Gackts's and Hyde's Orenji no Taiyou
- Bittersweet by Lauri Ylönen (The Rasmus), Ville Valo (HIM) and Apocalyptica.
(Lauri and Ville do the singing part, so yeah, I count it as aduet.)
- Ville Valo (again) and Kari Tapio - Täällä Pohjan Tähden Alla
(This was the first time I ever heard Ville singing in finnish...And the funny part is while Kari is about fifty (I think) and Ville around thirty, their voices sound soo similar thattt it's almost freaky...XD)

But now it's your turn!

I'm not a huge fan of opera, but when it comes to duets, my favorite one of all time is The Flower Duet from the opera Lakme by Leo Delibes. The song has been used in numerous other things, including British Airways commericials and The Simpsons. Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Flower_Duet) has a list of its use in popular culture. YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWqup5t1FHU) has a clip of a stage performance if you want to listen to it. (The really famous section starts at 1:10 minutes into the video.)

I like Johnny Rzeznik and Fred Durst's version of Wish You Were Here.

Don't laugh, but I also like Kenny Loggins and Amy Grant singing Pooh Corner. <.< He wrote it in high school when he was supposed to be taking an exam. I grew up watching W-t-P. :o
