Production I.G is pleased to announce Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society, the long awaited new chapter of the GITS saga.
The world premiere screening of the first trailer will take place during TAF 2006 at Production I.G booth D-02.
Event: TAF 2006
Place: Tokyo Big Sight, East Exhibition Hall 1, 2, 3
Production I.G Booth: D-02
Date: March 23-26 (March 23 and 24 are business days)
Time: 10:00-18:00
Well, since Gits SAC is my favorite series of all time, I hate to say it, but I'm absolutely disappointed in this announcement. While this is going to be a 100 minute movie (it seems), I can't help but wonder whether this is just beating a dead horse to death or not. Granted, 2nd GIG was alot better than the first season, in my opinion, but this just seems to be crossing the line again. The first and second season were compiled into two movied and released (titled The Laughing Man and Individual Eleven, respectively) which provided an extremely condensed version of events. This just makes me wonder what the heck they could possibly focus on after two consecutive attacks on the government. :/
