Has anyone here ever hear about Johnny's Entertainment or Johnny's & Associates? It's probably the biggest entertainment industry in japan ^^ haha they only accept BOYS and they train them since they are like 11 or twelve or when they join ^^ they start off as juniors and eventually are put into a group and can hopefully debut with their group! =] When they are juniors they learn dancing, singing and public speaking etc etc to prepare them for their debuts. Not all of them debut though =[ but they do sell really well with the girls anyways ^^;; Many of the groups have their own specific talents, such as SMAP was skateboarding, Kanjani 8 does instrumental and stand up comedy, Question? is mostly instrumental, Kis-My-Ft2 rollerskates, A.B.C. does acrobatics, etc...they sing and dance along with doing commercials and acting in popular dramas such as Kazuya Kamenashi (KAT-TUN) and Yamshita Tomohisa (NewS) starred in Nobuta Wo Produce, and Matsumoto Jun (Arashi) starred in Gokusen, Kimi wa Petto (eng manga= Tramps Like Us), and Hana Yori Dango (Boys over Flowers)...etc...

they've released groups such as::
SMAP, V6, Tokio, Tackey & Tsubasa, KinKi Kids, Arashi, NewS, and KAT-TUN.

They also have some undebuted groups such as::
Ya-ya-yah, Kis-my-Ft2, A.B.C., J.J. Express, M.A.D., Question?, etc... =]

My personal favorites are KAT-TUN and Ya-ya-yah, probably cause I knew them first and got into their music/ performances more, but Kis-My-Ft2 is slowly catching up ^^ ...

They're all lovable so if you love J-Pop and entertainment by pretty boys then you probably love JE Boys =]

I don't listen to any of them but I do admit that I have one of Tackey & Tsubasa's songs on my iPod, Venus.
It makes me giggle.

I'm loving the downfall of KAT-TUN. I keep an eye on the crazy pictures people are taking of Jin merrily going on his way to becoming fat and white. And while none of them are young enough to be kicked out or suspended for public drunkeness by now, there are plenty of other ways they can kill their own career. I anticipate it eagerly.

I love SMAP, and went to Osaka and Tokyo this past September specifically to see the last four shows of the 06 tour. I've already got my plane ticket lined up for next year's tour, when they announce the dates. 8D

I also like TOKIO and V6. The only "new" group I can stand is Arashi, because they actually have singing talent (ok ok, so maybe only Ohno does); Kanjani8 was on my good list as well from when they debuted through about when FTO came out. Then they started the gimmicky, cliche singles **** so I dropped them.

And Yamapi is a very, very guilty pleasure. :(
