Hehe, I can't help but love to hate Soubi. Ritsuka's blush is so cute though when Soubi's teases him, so. I do feel a tad bit sorry for Yuiko, but she only likes Ritsuka because he's so cool and cold. Also, she is blindly hurting the other guy's feelings. I've watched a couple of bl ova's, the quality stunk for them too. I wish that yaoi will get something that isn't... well, just plain ew. :) Yuri-lovers certainly are being gifted lately with quality shows, ya'll need some love too.

OHOHOHOH, that made me laugh so hard. Funny thing though, I started dowloading images of Loveless and Ritsuka [Honestly, I am having trouble writing his name. Can't they just call him Risutuka?] before I even knew what it was. Only a year later when my friend introduced me to Loveless, that's when I knew that it was that I kept downloading all this time, so I went back and renamed all the drawings.

But I do like the anime itself (even though I've only seen like half an episode U_U). I did just finish reading the first manga and I cannot wait until volume two comes out. From what I heard they finished anime where manga was at the moment not to spil the action, so it was actually like Loveless part 1, so in order to know the whole story you have to wait untill the manga is far enough with the story to make new rest of the anime :)

Just finished watching it last week. The only thing I have to say is WOW.
If you leave the shounen-ai thing appart, it's very powerfull and insightfull.
Ritsuka has many problems for a 6 grader and Soubi just want to make it better for him. Also thanks to Soubi, Ritsuka changed; he has friends and he is not coldhearted any more.

Still, it made me laught the fact that the nekomimi is a sign of virginity. I told my girlfriend what would happend if that were real. She told me that her parents would have castrated me a very long time ago.

I haven't read very many mangas to date but I have to say that I really liked this one. And I thought the BLB gave the story and the feel to it a little more edge, at times making me vaugly uncomfortable, but that only helped advance what has to be an uncomfortable, akward situation. I didn't know they'd done an anime- I will have to look for it! :)

Hey, hey, people not to be a spoilsport but please stop distributing the fansubs. Anime Works (aka Media Blasters) has released it here in the U.S. If you don't want to buy it, it is available to rent on Netflix. Please show your support for the show in a more positive way instead of distributing ILLEGAL fansubs and magnifying the "one bad apple" effect.

As for the manga it is four volumes and most reputable scanlators have pulled it from their site due to it being licensed by TokyoPop.

I know that the first volume of Loveless at least in magna form had a lot more depth for me than the anime version. But it is always nice to see what you have been reading on an actual TV show to see if you have been imagining the story like the anime producers have.

I adore Loveless. I spent the whole of last night watching all the episodes, and I've ordered the manga from Amazon. But... I'm a little confused. I had thought Ritsuka had lost his memory when he was ten, and then Seimei 'died' only shortly before the series began... and then I read that Ritsuka got amnisia after Seimei's 'death'... And so I'm confused. In the anime series, Ritsuka remebers Seimi saying things like, "I told you to run when she gets like this," etc. But is its the latter, then is it Ritsuka remebering Seimei from before his amneisia or is it his imagination?

Apart from that confusion, I really enjoy Loveless - especially Soubi. I love the little things, like how his eyes narrow after he says, "Oh, ears?" and that smile when he says, "Not till Ritsuka is a little older."

Mmmm...

So if someone can make that a little clearer for me, I'd appreciate it.

The first situation you described is the correct one. Ritsuka's personality changed about two years before Seimei's death. During those two years, Seimei would help Ritsuka whenever their mother went on one of her rampages. That is one of the reasons Ritsuka misses his brother so much. Seimei was Ritsuka's only ally during that time.

When you watch an anime.... it's best to forget everything you saw on there when you start to read the Manga... the anime and manga will have the basic story/plot line but all the little details will be different.... you'll just keep confussing yourself if you try to put what you saw into what you are reading.
As for who's loveless's fighter....All I know it can't be Yuiko... she doesn't have the right mind for it...and Kyo..uh maybe... tho they seem to not like each other...haha

Can you be a fan of a Loveless arc? Just not really of the manga itself? If you can, then I am!

I tried the Loveless manga on for size around about when the anime was initally being fansubbed (I ...think?), and I've got to say the only part of it that really did it for me was the bit with the first generation Zero pair - the schoolgirls - and not just for the yuri (although that helped). For me, it was the only relationship that grabbed me, and the only one that didn't involve characters I could feel myself actively wanting to shake. Okay, I lie, it was more than that - I was practically on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen to them/what they'd choose to do. :D

The Zero girls are my favorite, too. I want to know so much more about them, like what their everyday life has been like all those years. Kouya has adoptive parents, but what about Yamato? Was she raised by Nagisa-sensei (who doesn't exactly treat her as a worthy individual)?

But I don't dislike the rest of the series. The art is beautiful, and the themes seem to reach deeply and touch something very human, much more successfully than many other manga I've read.

Although the story of Kouya and Yamato might be one of the manga's epitomes, Kouga handles feelings of longing quite well, for the most part. For example, the feelings of honest Yuiko and confused Hitomi are very believable. But I don't actually care much for the relationship -- whatever its nature may be -- between the protagonists Ritsuka and Soubi.

I actually really like Ritsuka's character. When he tries to make himself feel indifferent to his mother's rejection, or struggles with feelings that don't fall into his ostensibly pragmatic worldview, I feel his emotion. In so many ways, he's caught in situations that put him between being a child and being an adult, and I think that's something we can all identify with. And I think Soubi (and everything connected to him -- Nanatsu no Tsuki, etc.) is a necessary catalyst for a lot of Ritsuka's turmoil, but I just don't see the basis for a romantic relationship. Not like the bond shared by Kouya and Yamato. Sorry, yaoi fangirls. (Strangely, I enjoy yaoi, just not in this series. Heck, I wouldn't even mind if Yuiko got her wish fulfilled. She's so cute and I would love to see her happy. ^_^)

Soubi: I love you, Ritsuka. You're cute. But really that's just what your brother told me to say.

But I am totally willing to listen if you can offer a basis for what you see as "great chemistry." Seriously! Change my mind. (It might even help me enjoy the series more if I can get a different, valid perspective on this. But as it stands, I just don't see it.)

Loveless is my favorite anime and manga series ever...the anime end is confusing, but I'm thinking since the anime was made only after the 5th volume of the manga was made that the ending of the manga will have a more understandable ending.

I love Soubi most...and although I wish him and Ritsuka got more intimate (I'm as bad as Pervy Sage), it's an awesome series!! I'm in love with it, as odd as it sounds.

If it weren't for the anime, I wouldn't have even read the manga. I believe the anime is one of the best I've seen. The colors, the music, all so pretty. I wasn't so crazy about the ending in the anime so am hoping the ending in the manga is better. But in any case, this is a good series.
