How many games do you buy per month/year, and do you pre-order?

I'm curious how many people actually pre-order their games, and being as I love RPG's I've pre-ordered and gotten all the extras for almost every RPG that's come out so far this year... (that I wanted)...
Wild ARMS 4 + OSG
Drakengard 2 + OSG
Grandia 3 + OSG
Tales of Legendia + OSG
Tales of Phantasia
Kingdom Hearts 2 + OSG
Final Fantasy 12 + OSG
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Plus random other games like Black and Cold Winter... all these I've paid for, in full, whether out yet or not... please tell me I'm not crazy...

Let's see ... during 2005, I must have purchased about 25-30 games, new and used.
Probably pre-ordered about 6 or 7 of those.

So far this year, I've purchased about 7, pre-ordered on only 2 so far.

I buy about 3-5 games a month when I have enough Manga in stock.

I maybe pre-order 1 or two games per year. As for how many I buy, maybe one or two every few months. Sometimes if there's a good deal going I get quite a few at once. Most of the games I buy are pre-owned though, barring DS games. As for where I get the money, the government pays me a bursary for getting through college, so I leech that. And I have a paper round.

I've only preordered once: For Kingdom Hearts II, since I had the money at the time, and I wanted to make sure I was able to get it.

I regret not having preorder Metal Gear 3 Limited Edition because I ended up all around my island trying to find that game jejejeje (dont search for that game on Ebay)

I've only pre-ordered one game in my life which is Kingdom Hearts II. Other than that, every other game I have was already out when I wanted it.

Wow... gotten quite a few posts while I was gone... sweet...

Okay, normally, I'll buy one or two games a month, but the publishers have been having a hayday with the PS2 lately, releasing RPG's left and right... so I've been kinda buying all games, and almost no anime or manga... I had to get a credit card just so I could keep up with all of it... and I'm still behind by about 18 DVD's and almost 25 manga... dammit all!
Oh, and I make the money working 40-50 hours a week for Wells Fargo... makin' some good money there... But, like Soma, it doesn't leave much time for my hobbies and my girlfriend... luckily, she shares my hobbies, so that takes some stress outta my life... heh...

I tend to purchase about 2 video games a month on average. But normally I do not purchase the "newest" games unless it's something I've been watching. I normally wait for when they drop in price a great bit then get it. The game's still going to be the same if I pay 50$ US or 20$ US (at least that is my thinking on that matter).

I've only ever preordered two games - Zelda: Wind Waker and Pokemon Emerald. Right now instead of buying new ones I'm going through my brother's collection for ones I've never played. Currently I'm juggling Final Fantasy Tactics and Super Mario Bros 3.

I pre-order.... usually because there is some kinda perk associated with doing so and also because I live in a small town so stock is gobbled up quickly. EVERY game in Eternal's Main Thread post, I need those. ^_^ I don't really know how many games I buy per month, I buy what I want when I see it. lol right now I just bought Thousand Arms and it's cute and fun, yet super old sooo it just depends on what I see when walking around while waiting for those pre-orders!

This is going to sound crazy, but I buy 40-60 games a month. I have one of the best jobs in the world! I buy games for a public library! We check them out like books. I love spending other people's money, so fun!

For my own personal collection, I usually buy 5-6 games a month. It's an expensive habit, but I make decent money as a librarian, so it works out.

BTW, I also get to buy all the anime and manga for the library. I love my job.:p

I also just finished Grandia III. I liked it, and now I am playing Shadow Hearts. Which has a pretty cool soundtrack.

Yes, I had to beg and cry, but now that we are loaning them, everyone is so excited, because they loan out like crazy!!

Libraries like what we call high circulation numbers. High circulation numbers mean lots of usage by the community, and that means when government cuts come along, the library has evidence that we are important to the community, hence cutting our budget would equal voters to be angry.

So once we got the games. our circulations went crazy. To which I say, duh...Video games...in the library...for free? But apparently I was the only one here who had thought of that. :p

Im still playing Dragon Quest VIII. and i got Kingdom Hearts II on pre-order which is being released tomorrow and i shall get haha. Im looking forward to the new Valkyrie Profile (im still trying to get the first one) and i need to get Shadow Hearts 3 and Atelier Iris 2.

I don't know how many games I buy per month or year somewhere between 10-15....I rarely pre-order. Most of them I buy pre-owned or at the bargain bin. I'd say I buy 3-4 a year that are brand new with the full cellophane and everything! However, I did pre-order Tomb Raider Legend last week. Can't wait for that game. LARA'S BACK! WOO!

i think i get 4-5 a year, i am poor and crave more manga and plus i rent allot too. but i will buy the good game that i know are good and i would play over and over again. i have gotten 2 this year one for the PC and my PC will not run it *calling self stupid* i have suspected it would not play, but i still got it. and the other was "call of duty 2 big red one" it was OK but i didn't like it so i sold it with my spare ps2 that i had.

I just picked up Kingdom Hearts 2 today, with the OSG... and damn, that guide is BIG! I think it's the biggest console RPG strategy guide yet! I mean, FF X-2 and SO:TtEoT were big, but this is BIG! Plus it comes with some kinda extras book... really sweet!
And they finally had the Suikoden V guides in, so I was able to pick that up too, since it was already paid for... ehehe...

i get 10 to 15 games a year and no i do not preorder my buddy at the store always makes sure i have a copy of any cool games coming out.
