so i began my concert career a bit late, but i'm slowly catching up =) out of what i have seen so far, i think We Are Scientists has to be my favorite shows. its filled with great music, hilarious shenanigans and other such nonsense that make the concert experience awesome. but a close second are The Strokes. only downside to their show was the seats =/ leaves very little space for dancing, though we danced anyway =]

I went to a Between the Buried and Me concert once. It rocked! I was like right by the stage. Walked out of there all sweaty and smelling like beer.

SMAP at Tokyo Dome this past September. Hands-down best show I've ever been to, even excluding the special guests. I love special effects and acrobatics at my concerts *_*

Second is Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ. For energy, NOIZ is better than SMAP. They put on a very good high energy show and I nearly passed out from weird ass headbanging.

I went and saw Peter, Paul and Mary with my parents and had a blast.

But that was cause I went to a show with my parents. :P

I enjoyed seeing Dave Matthews Band and experiencing the noxious cloud though. :P

I'll hold off answering for a few days. Iron maiden concert in Glasgow on friday, might wind up changing my answer as a result.

after 15 years of concerts i'd have to say:

Skinny Puppy

20 years of classic tunes, gore, video wall, thousands singing along, who could ask for more?

I've been to many excellent shows, and they've all been so memorable for different reasons ...

I think my most memorable show was the first time I saw dredg.
It was a beautiful day in August, the venue was great, I was right up against the stage, and they put on an amazing show.

So many shows, so many years, so many memories...*sigh*

#1 for the BEST. CONCERT. EVER. is still Dec 9th, 2005. Saw U2 in Buffalo, NY and through the luck of the gods were two people back from the front of the stage O_o
It would have been a great concert even if we were in the rafters, but the fact that I was 5 feet from Bono definatly makes this my most memorable show (and I have a recording of it on my MP3 player to help me relive my memories anytime I want ^_^)

Hard to believe, but I went to Edgefest about a year or two ago when Panic! at the Disco hadn't really made a name for themselves yet; they hadn't been on the radio, but I thought they were boss so I went. They put out one helluva show, as did Starting Line. All I remember about Counting Crows is swirling colors and I wasn't even smoking weed, of course that was just that concert, haha.

best live show ive been to was probably either AFI back in 2003, or Marilyn Manson in 2001... Im not really a fan of Marilyn Manson's music but he put on an awesome stage show.

I saw them a couple of times after the Nirvana concert and they were always lots of fun. They didn't always sound that great, but they always seemed like they were having fun and that always seemed to rub off on the audience.

After posting last night I pulled out my ticket stub collection and remembered some more great shows-

Radiohead w/ Spiritualized in '98
The Reverend Horton Heat w/ The Toadies and Hagfish, New Year's Eve '94
Lollapalooza '91-'95
Ozzfest '96, '04, '05
Cocteau Twins w/Galaxie 500 in '91
Einsturnzende Neubaten w/ Meat Beat MAnifesto in '91
Siouxsie and the Banshees w/ The Wonder Stuff in '92
REM w/ Radiohead in '96 (or was it '95?)
Unholy Alliance tour '06 (Slayer, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Children of Bodom)
Morrissey in '91
Any time I've seen Neurosis (three times)

I think my most memorable live show would have to be the first concert that I ever been to. My friend invited me to go see Reel Big Fish and it was just amazing. It was kinda scary tho, being so close to the mosh pit :p

>>rukia86
aww, i've been to a Reel Big Fish live too! that was a lot of fun, though i got sick of this kid who kept stepping on my shoe and being a general jerk, so i gave him a swift punch in the back of the head, and he stopped XD good times~ the singer was a really nice guy too, i told him i'd trade him my shirt for his jacket, but he declined.. though he did say he liked my shirt lol

Has to be Live 8 at Hyde Park in London, so many bands. The highlight for me was Pink Floyd and maybe U2 right at the start. I didn't go for a wee for 13 hours LOL but it was worth it.

in my opinion Rammstein does some the best pyrotechnics, a typical Rammstein show includes dragon masks(falmethowers but in your head), two falmethrowers strapped in both Till's( the singer) arms, a bow which shoots sparks along it's lenght, flares along thirs arms, and the bassist surfing the crowd with a lifeboat.

Definately one of the best shows I've ever been to, especially since I got to meet them all. *Big dreamy far-off fangirl look* And sorry ScreamForTheStars if I blocked your view for that concert. >.>

Also I loved Green Day when I saw them a few Springs ago. Even though I don't really listen to them all that much. The energy was great, the band gave a great performance, and it was just really fun. Also, every Enter the Haggis concert I've ever been to (which is waaay too many to count) was great, and I can't wait to see them again live (which will probably be in September, and it's going to kill me since that's way too far away).

I've gone to several concerts and have to say that the Jrock Revolution was the best and then next Dir en Grey! At Jrock revoultion it was memorable b/c my friend sprained her ankle that day which got us right up front in the handicapp section. The show was amazing!

DIR EN GREY -- well.... its Dir en Grey
HYDE (last year) -- seeing him live shirtless OMG!!!!

Well, all of the concerts are awesome :D
Wish I could go and see Diru again, Rain and SKIN @ AX but I'm broke :(

Most memorable live concert doesn't mean the best live concert I've seen. I will say the most memorable was Chris Isaak only because there were several celebrities there as well and it was in a small venue so was quite fun.

Oooh! Chris Isaak! :D I have one of his albums around here somewhere.

Anyways. Most memorable show so far would probably have to be the one I went to Sunday. Dir en Grey/Deftones/Fall of Troy. All three bands were fantastic, they moved the show to a smaller venue kinda last minute which I wasn't too happy about at the time, but it was definitely better in the long run. DIr en Grey was really at their best too! :D And I was kinda in the front so I was about ten feet away from them (as opposed to the last time I saw them live and was about the length of a football field away from them and the sound was awful and the band didn't seem to care and it was outside and raining...ugh).

Though the last time I saw Diru was equally memorable, because even though the concert itself kinda sucked, I got to meet all of them and shake their hands at the meet and greet. ^____^

Saw Crowded House last night...I never thought I'd get to see them. Really good show! Neil Finn still has it even after all this time ^_^
