A mother and her son are facing up to 10 years in prison for fraud. Some how the mother was able to get over $220,000 from the government over the past 20 years claiming that her son suffered from mental retardation.

Really, that's just wrong. How could people go through with that knowing that you are taking money away from others who ACTUALLY need it for someone with an actual condition?

Well, it was inevitable. She had to get caught sooner or later. I mean, the son is young, he doesn't want to be labeled as a "retard" forever does he?

I remember reading something about that a while ago. The reason they finally got busted after all these years was because the son was caught on video, contesting a traffic ticket. The mother was also getting money for her daughter who also had the same "problem" as her son. I don't know if the they'll be going after the daughter or not. I think they were still looking for her at the time.
