Right now, I'm in the process of fangirl-izing over a series called Heroic Age.
It's done by the same people who did Gundam Seed(+Destiny), s-CRY-ed, and dozens of other animes. xD (I love the art style)

Anyways, the series is also very gundam-ish, space travel, fighting robots, etc... but this is actually an ADORABLE anime. o__o The main character, Age, is just freaking adorable and innocent. xD;;

If you like a gundam-ish show, only less serious, definately try to find Heroic age. :3

You can get it for a good price now. When I got it it was super expensive but I had to have it and forked over my monies. It came with some pins. The box was beat up, though. Again, I didn't care 'cuz I just had to have the dvd's! But you can pick it up now for $30-$40 I believe. Well worth it for such a great anime.

They're not making that set anymore. The only way to get it is if you happened to come across it or ebay. When I got it 1-1/2 to 2 years ago, it was an old set then. Just do some searches online. It'll tell you if it's the set with the pins. The dvd's come in a box that is shaped like an old book. The back of the box has a cutout so you can see the pins which are a set of 3. One of the entire group, one of Amon (*sigh*) and one of Robin. When you open the back of the "book," the pins are set in a case that is coffin shaped.

The new Yu-Gi-Oh GX thing. I caught it on TV and it was pretty bad. The main character looks like some spawn of Kaiba with a bad haircut and instead of being followed around by a bunch of hot bishies, he's got these...weirdo nerds for groupies. D: And on top of that it just sucks.

At least the original Yu-Gi-Oh was sucky but with bishie goodness.

The first episode was ok. It's a supernaturl series. The story concept is by Masamune Shirow (creator of the ghost in the shell) and it's done by Production I.G.

A kid's forced to marry his teacher by circumstances beyond his control. And of course, he has a disease that knocks him into comas all the time so he doesn't age normally, and thus looks like a 14 or 15 year old boy. =/

Even better, he discovers there's a girl in his class with the same sickness who looks like she's ten. And she's supposed to be considered 'hot.' Ick.

At least the manga wasn't so bad.

shigurui episodes 1-8. This is the weirdest samurai story I've ever watched. I've seen one woman get her nipple cut off and then eaten by a samurai in front of her, a guy blowing himself while fantasizing about his deceased comrade who he was in love with and a pregnant woman giving birth on her own (doesn’t sound weird, but the scene was freaky, especially after the baby shot out of her vag and it started to crawl on her belly and they were staring at each other). Overall it’s still a good series: great animation and excellent story, but it's very graphic.

Watched the first volume of Midori Days.
Animation quality was good, and it actually follows the manga fairly closely, after a fashion. =/

My only complaint is the English voice-overs; Midori's voice started out obnoxiously shrill, though that seems to have improved in the later episodes. Seiji's voice was okay, but something a little deeper would've suited the character better; a lot of lines that are supposed to be more bad@ss end up sounding just corny. =/

Still, pretty enjoyable and well worth watching for the animation alone. :)

I don't think I'd be able to give an unbiased criticism, since I thought it sucked compared to the manga. :o
The animation started off great, but the quality dropped a little with every episode, with a few exceptions
The music was pretty good most of the time, especially Beck's songs, except for Brainstorm(?) which really got on my nerves.
But the most annoying part HAS to be the English. It was just BAD English. Ugh.
