Ah well i hope someone here knows what i'm talking about

I've lived in the only 2 citys in canada worth living in Vancouver and Montreal in the downtown/arts parts of town(which have now been taken over by suburban people) in Vancouver that would be commercial drive and in Montreal the Plateau

K well this going to be more of a rant then anything and your welcome to call me anything u want

befor i go on can anyone tell me what a scenester and or yuppy is?
and can anyone tell me y people from the suburbs into the urban parts of town is bad?

most people who are "scenester" are people who try to fit in with their music (no better way to put it). It can also be people who are very post modern...and wear a lot of sophistocated black (like someone who is very artsy...i also think there are different names for scenesters...like say emo...but at my school...we just say scenecore)

i THINK a yuppy is someone who lives in a large city and leads a sophisticated life style.

for the suburbs to urban movement thing...i think it's more of a territory thing...and people don't want to get to crowded. but suburbs are pretty much just houses...and urban is huge cities.

where i come from (suburbs >.<) we think of the urban part of town as sort of ghetto...and people who used to live there might shoot us or something ^^;

and honey u almost got everything right a yuppy is someone who moves in to the downtown who never lived in downtown

and in most citys u can walk threw downtown in like 20 mins or less hell in montreal it's tiny the suburbs r huge but thiers nothing to do and to many cops
the suburbs is like 1984(not the year the book)

I recall walking around Montreal a couple of years ago until it was 1 am in the morning or something. I don't know why my family did that... especially after we ate. Darn cramps. I think I've spent more time in the suburban parts of Montreal than the city itself. In the city I usually just hang out in Chinatown which (if my memory is correct) is really tiny (compared to the Chinatown here in Philly and New York anyway).

Yuppy means Young Urban Proffesional. Kind of like high school/college students. Learned it in history last year.
