Heh heh, looks like we are complete opposites when it comes to tastes though. But it's cool I respect that. I personally like DMX {his older stuff}, Three Six Mafia, Z-Ro, Scarface, Trae, and Joe Buddens. You should check them out if you haven't already.
I don't know it's kinda of hard to choose favorites because I like so many different artists.

Usually, no.
But BLEACH's Asterisk by Orange Range was one of the few exceptions. I really like that song.
Bomb A Head! V was also an exception ^^
The rap around America that's popular usually just sounds like mumbled words to me. *gets attacked by rap fans*

my first rap CD was the *goes to look at Cd's in the cold car* the Massacre, i got it the week it came out. the funny thing is that when i showed i had this CD at school nearly everyone flipped out, first every one that was into rap wanted it, second also last is that i was the last person in the world they thought would buy it. i was into oldies and i was transition to this music. i did listen to Back street boys (i thought they died, but i was wrong), i drove over the CD around the time i got the Massacre, i did it on purpose. and there is still people that listen to them, like a Little annoyance at my school, he wont shut up on how grate they are, they are not. ^_^ me no like that 90's music unless it is rap or R&B.

I like Rap and R&B but mainly stuff from the 90s like Tupac,Ice Cube,Mack Ten,and OutKast. My favorites from Tupac is How do you want it and All about u. Ice cube's check yo self and no vaseline are really good too. Mack Ten's Foe life is one I remember from from my old high school days.Outkast's playersball is classic too.
In R&B, I like Aailyah,Faith Evans,Carl Thomas, and Brandy, and Amerie. Aailyah's one in a million and I don't wanna are songs that I will always love. Faith Evan's I love you is also such a beautiful song.Carl Thomas's I wish brings back some memories from my younger days. Brandy's Full moon and talk about our love are songs that i just like. Amerie's One thing has an amazing beat and the video got me hooked. I'm still not tired of that song.

As long as there's a good beat and thought provoking lyrics, I'll listen to it.

For me it's all about Japanese Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B.
Rap/Hip-Hop
DABO
Hime
Brier (she's fallen off lately)
Norisiam-X
Tasha (she's korean)
Doberman Inc
A.I (when she raps)
R&B
A.I (when she sings)
Chiori
HI-D (I love him)
Michico
Miss Monday (When she's not singing Reggae, which I enjoy as well)
R&B --> Neo-Soul
Yoshika (she's so talented, her voice is amazing)
Asuka (the former and better ARIA)
Jamosa
Bobby Kim (He's korean. His voice reminds me of Marvin Gaye's)
Yoko Blaqstone

I've only heard a couple of M-Lo's songs. "I Like It" (Featuring Crystal Kay) and "Astrosexy" (With Chemistry) being among the few. So I can't really differenciate between his "old style" and his "new style."
And by hardcore stuff, if you mean rap that goes along the lines of, "I shot my grandma then I went to club and *bleep* *bleep* *bleep*" Then no. I'm not into that.

No, I think the "I shot your momma crap" is not hardcore, just stupid. By hardcore I mean the overall tone, rythym, vibe, etc. of the song. Like M-Flo is considered "Pop-Rap" like 50-cent and all those other losers.

xD! (Man, I can't stand 50. He's got some good beats sometimes though. Too bad he can't rap.)
And I agree with you. The "I shot my grandma/yo mama" thing IS crap.
But as for the hardcore thing. It doesn't matter to me. If the beat is good, then I like it. Tell me though, what's up with M-Lo? Has he gotten whack?

I mean, I liked "So Sick," but after that it was all about "I just wanna tear ya down" and "let's have angry sex." Seriously, those are some repetitive lyrics.
But you're also right in a way too. They are about love...somewhat.
