My list goes on and on but I'll just name SOME of my favorite video game soundtracks that I have or listened to.

Bust A Groove
Devil May Cry 3
Final Fantasy 9
Final Fantasy Tactics
King of Fighters 2003
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker
Super Smash Bros Melee
Parappa The Rapper
Metal Gear Solid 3

Yep. ^_^ Keep in mind, there's tons more but I listen to these soundtracks alot more than others.

Ah, crap! I did the search and everything and still couldn't find that thread! I thought it got deleted or something. Bummer.

The Final Fantasy soundtracks are both excellent if you like Classical music. I think they are very well done.

The Final Fantasy soundtracks are both excellent if you like Classical music. I think they are very well done.

I agree. They're beautiful.

Hmm...I don't really like specific soundtracks, more like songs. I like "Passions" and "Sanctuary" from Kingdom Hearts 2, sung very well by Hikaru Utada. I also like "Simple and Clean" from the first Kingdom Hearts game.

GTA2. Taxi Drivers Must Die is the greatest tune ever stuck in a game.

Oh, and I assume from the fact it's on my mp3 player I must like the soudtrack from XChange2, even if I can't seem to remember any of it.

Not to mention the amazing soundtrack from Streets Of Rage. And golden Axe for that matter. Oh! And Sonic. Gad, so many soundtracks.

You know a series is going downhill when they satrt making in-jokes in the soundtrack names.

I like alot of Final Fantasy songs. I think FF VIII soundtrack is my favorite.

I think the Guilty Gear XX soundtrack is probably my favorite to date, and the live versions I've heard from A.S.H. are even better. I love "Still in the Dark" though it's technically an GGX song. "Blood Stained Lineage", "Be Just or Be Dead", "Suck A Sage" and "Feel A Fear" are other favorites from the game and the series.

Most of the Castlevania games have a pretty good soundtrack, with Symphony of the Night being the highlight of the series for me. I've been listening to cover melodies of the first three games that the Minibosses did, really good stuff, wish they'd do one for SotN. Lament of Innocence wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be either.

The Final Fantasy series almost always has good music. There's usually at least one song that stand out for every game. The opera song and Kefka's theme from FFVI, "One Winged Angel" from VII, the original theme from the first game, etc. Fantastic stuff.

I love most of the Final Fantasy soundtracks, but nothing past FF VIII. I also really love the Metal Gear Solid soundtrack, especially the song "the Best is Yet to Come". It's beautiful.
