Hey you guys i signed up for the magazine a couple of weeks ago but i havent got it yet.....how long does it take to send?:confused: :confused:

Just check on the site, they tell what month they send it. They only send out 4 a year if I remember correct.

I haven't read Shonen Jump, but I think that it's worth it. It's free so the only thing that might bother you is the wait for the next one to come.

It's not as big as Shonen Jump, but since it's free, it's better. If you're able to get it, you really should sign up.

no its 4.95 for more than 300 pages of current and upcoming manga if you love manga you have to get Shonen Jump!! Its on its 33 issue i believe....i think maybe more....

i learned from books and cd's lets see about 7 good books and a japanese to English dictionary and 4 cd's but you dont need all that....i learned how to speak and read it at the same time.....just take it slowly so you don't get confused.....my heads still poundin...

Same thing happened to me. I signed up right after I first heard about it, sometime before Otakon I think. Then I kinda forgot about it. Then last month, I got my first issue! WTF? I'm happy I got it, but that's a REALLY LONG TIME to wait.

I've got all three of the ones that had come out. I was kind of glad that TP decided to have a manga magazine, free to boot!! makes me happy. Thats what turned me away from Shonen Jump, that and the translations of Naruto and a lot of others sucks horribly. I liked the third issues look. It was pretty and the cover didn't feel all papery.

Yes. We have to send the mailing list to the printer at some point right? If you're signed up before we send the list you get the magazine. If you sign up after, you get the next issue.

Even though some people in the US joke about Candada being the 51st state, it is considered international postage and therefore, no. We can not mail the magazine to our Canadian friends because of the cost.

Actually, I heard about it about a little before the first issue arrived via the email TP sends out every now and then. So I signed up for it using my name. And then when I opened my mailbox, I had TWO of them! My mother had signed up for it using her OWN name!!! LOL, so I had two manga magazines. I keep the ones with my name on it in good condition.

But I rip the spine off my mother's and use them as pin-ups on my wall. XD The paneling in the manga is actually great inspiration as wall art. If I get enough of these, I'm going to wallpaper my room with them. ^_^

Those mailing lists are crazy, though...@_@ Even people who've got this internet thing down to a pat sometimes mess up. Maybe some nice old lady received the other manga and was magically introduced to a world she never knew. O.O That would make an interesting manga...a person receives a magazine they didn't subscribe for and it somehow changes their life...hmm...*starts jotting down notes for her spur-of-the-moment idea*

the first days of summer
the end of a heatwave
the end of a windchill warning
the end of winter
the end of another blistering hot summer
the end of all canadian's live in igloo's, have pet beavers, do nothing but drink beer, and other canadian's jokes that arn't funny.
the day canada just snaps, and invades a random country, then the world. (i'm really looking forward to that one, mark my words i'll be apart of it)
and so on and so forth

please tokyopop we have so little up in this great white barren beer riddled north, please send us a copy of your magna magazine. even if its just one, send it to me and i'll make photocopies for all my canadian brethren that want a copy.

Hmm...I don't think a Spring issue ever came out. Either my mailman got abducted on the way to my house or it was never published because I didn't get one either. -_-; (I won't lie... One of the things I like best about the magazine is the comments on each page of the preview mangas. But occasionally it gets on my nerves when they're just blatantly boasting bout how awesome it is. ;) I just got the belated Winter issue...it had to go through a lot to get to me here in Egypt. :p But at least I got it...its good to have contacts.

Waiting for the summer issue. ^^ It better be good.

It's a shame we cant get it in the UK, but I can't complain because Tokyopop are doing it for us for free, so all we can be is grateful, because we are getting given something.

At least there is the e-mail newsletter! I mean, thanks to everyone at tokyopop for making the online and normal magazines, especially for people overseas, Manga and Anime magizines are about 13pounds ($26) an issue so the only was I can stay up to date with manga and anime is with the e-mail newsletter, so, I'm really thankful to everyone who makes the online newsletter possible!

It's not like shonen jump. It gives you manga preview for new titles that are going to be released. It's not the same manga month after month.

They have articles ranging from a few topics, like relating manga, what do you look for in manga? art or story line....ect...ect...

Nothing has gone wrong. Other than the issue that should be sent out this month, there hasn't been a new issue of Manga Magazine since the Summer 2006 one.

yeah, i agree... it's like, thirty pages less than the summer '06 one. but what can you expect? we do get this for free. ^^ so, lets just be thankful at least.

Agreed. Half of the thirty pages were taken up by 5 sentence summaries of new series (and they sounded like the same ones from off the back of the book too), and I was interested in neither of the (very very short) preview titles.
The articles to me seemed more like fluff to take up space than real articles :/
