ANIME BOSTON 2006! May 25th-28th

I shall be there along with a few of the trusty rusty TP editors, workin' the panels, promotin' my book, My Cat Loki!^,^V and perusin' the dealers' room for goodies XDehehe

is anyone planning on cosplaying? I'm too lazy to make a real costume...but I was thinking of going as Death from Sandman (which isn't really manga but whatever) since that would be easy to do ^^;;

I'm going to AB, though I'll probably spend most of it on my butt in the Artists Alley. I'm hoping to have a new Death Note doujin or another issue of my original comic finished in time, but we'll see how that works out. ;}

Good to know that Tokyopop's planning to be there! Will your editors/writers/artists/etc be on any panels aside from the standard industry ones?

I'll be there this year! all three days! I've been going since the first AB in 03.
Last year I was Jo, Robin Sena, and the atashi bunnies.
I don't really know who i'm cosplaying as this year, but i know Aisha Clan Clan is a definite and Jo of course because i'm making it better.

I went last year for two days and had loads of fun. =D I'm going this year with my Mom. I'm seriously considering cosplaying as Rakka from Haibane-Renmei, since I luff her and that outfit looks relatively easy to make.

I hear you! Even though it was at the Hynes, they didn't have as much as the first year. I remember there was so many anime to see and things to do, but last year, they didn't have that many to watch, but the masquerade and the amv made up for it. Hopefully this year they will step it up a notch. :D

How many attended the first year of AB? AB2005 brought in about 5,000 and is expected to bring in anywhere from 6,000-8,000 this year.

Also keep in mind that the Hynes is BIGGER than previous years' locations, things were more spread out from what I saw, so it LOOKED smaller than it actually was. TRUST me....I can tell. Otakon2005 brought in 25,000 and because the con center was so big and everything was so spread out...it didn't look like NEARLY that many attended.

As far as I know they'll be doing what they did last year, with Borders representing/sponsoring them of sortsT_O...they DEFINITELY won't have the sort of booth they had at Otakon^^;
