So the radio just ran a story on how, if the average American lost 100lbs, they'd use 18 less gallons of gas PER YEAR.

My response: SFW? One tank of gas a year, big deal.

Why do they pay people to push such stupidity?

Less petrol being used, less petrol being burned, less fumes in the Ozon, less global warming.

I don't trust anything printed by the government on such topics.

Seriously, these are meteorologists, they can't even get the next day forecast correct....

It means you have less padding. Getting punched hurts. Not to mention I look ridiculously thin, hence my preference for loose-fitting shirts and big heavy coats.

roxas87

oh. i see. and yeah getting punched does hurt unless you drink a lot of milk.

Aratos

I don't see what calcium has to do with nerve endings.
Then again, I've not drunk milk for years. Used to drink it all the time and I have the teeth t'prove it, but meh. More've a water person now.

roxas87

not me. im more of a milk person than water.

Aratos

You didn't go through the scottish primary school system with its "all children must drink milk" policy. I tell you, drinking warm milk that's been sitting out for hours from a cardboard carton every day for five years is enough t'put anyone off the stuff for life.

Me too...which is a shame, because I take the subway. I could hypothetically be saving money of gas!

Y'know, from the main page of the forum all you can read of the title of this thread is "Being fat affects your gas" which is quite different from "Being fat affects your gas MILEAGE".
XD
Needless to say, I was dissapointed.

I don't know. Are the majority of Americans really fat? --;; Most of my classmates aren't.

I think I've only seen a few very...uh...large people before. Not many though.

I wouldn't be dead either. I just wouldn't exist because my bones would have to weigh something right? And if after sheding 100 lbs, I'm already -2 to -5 then...

Perhaps the people that aren't answering, are the ones that are the ones holding out XD.
