The increasing about of fan service. Of course, any anime has to have SOME fan service but shows like Girls Bravo totally kills it. ^^;; They have a plot but 90% of the show is pure fan service. ^^;;

Fillers suck when it's a long series, especially filler arcs.

Plot-less anime suck. XD

Um... When the voices of the characters don't match and when the english translations are off.:mad: That's why I generally watch anime in Japanese with english subtitles. It's a lot better. I like watching anime if it's got a lot of pratfalls and melodrama *heehee it's soo funny*:D . But if the melodrama is piled on too much or too often then I don't like it as much cos the impact is gone.:(

lol that's a loaded question... a very loaded question... considering the many, many different types of anime out there... ranging from romance comedy to gorefests and horror... or a combination of both (thinks of Elfen Lied)
There are some things that do seem to show up more in anime and manga than in other forms of entertainment...
1. Filler, think of the Sailor Moon anime and many, many other mahou shoujo titles... mainly this filler is added in the anime when it didn't originally show up in the manga... but man... it can be annoying.
2. Extreme length, again like the Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece and Inuyasha animes... personally I like them short and sweet the good old 13 to 26 episodes. So you have time to enjoy it but it doesn't wear thin, although that also depends on how much filler was thrown in as well.
3. Stereotypes, insert overtly innocent and stupid mahou shoujo saving the world here... or how about the naive, friendly and eager shounen who wants to become the word's best window-tinter in the universe but had a rival who wants to become the best window-tinter in the universe and so the two spend most of the series battling over who is the best window tinter... oh and they get giant humanoid suits of armour to tint eachother with... gets old don't it?

All I have for now... for the most part it's a very nice art form... but like most others there's lots of poor quality stuff out there... ^_^u

But what I don't like is MECHA anime. I'm sorry. I can't get into Neon Evangalion or Gundam or any other type. I just lose interest quickly.

I mean hell I tried to put in a favorite genre of mine (comedy / fan-service) into it and found Godannar. That didn't really seem to grasp my attention either. *sigh*

The only exception in english dubs, from my point of view, has to be Hellsing TV.

Oh yes the Hellsing dub... That was good. Probably because having them speak British English in *shock* Britain of all places seems oddly appropriate for the story... Although I do like the amount of funny English phrases in the Japanese version.... ^_^

I really do hate the English dubs of well.... almost everything. Yes, Hellsing is an exception *grovels at the person who did Integra's voice* don't get me wrong, I like the Japanese version of Hellsing but the English gives it a bit more reality, the part that it is set in England. The Ranma dub isn't bad either and Vampire Hunter D dubs aren't bad. Other than that, I don't really have anything against anime itself as a whole

I hate some the annoying young boy I'm-gonna-be-the-best-even-though-I-stink-at-this. Who're they kidding? I mean, Bey-blade, Pokemon, etc. I like almost ALL the characters in those types of shows EXCEPT the main ones.

Besides that...I hate when there's too much exageration, like Hideki in Chobits. Its cute at first than gets tiring FAST.

This isn't on anime in general just on openings and endings. I don't like how they don't stay intacted for dubs. Like Naruto had so many nice ones and now for the dub they just kinda are all thrown together in a big mess. I wish that they allowed for most shows to carry over the same openings and closings instead of needing to just have one for the whole show..what's wrong with change?

What I don't like in an anime is when some of the charater's faces look the same as other charaters even when they are not related. Or what's worse is recaps that are episodes. Or those episodes that the main charaters don't really go advance in the plot, but yet they do something. That kinda stuff sucks.

I dislike fillers unless they are funny. Prince of Tennis is the only anime that has fillers that I like because aside from the Jyosei Shonan Arc, they don't stray from the storyline and are meant to be humorous; not to mention, there are usually only a few filler episodes rather than an entire season (I'm looking at you, Yu-Gi-Oh!).

I also hate dub bashing and elitism, especially when it boils down to a "Japanese is better" argument. If a fan is using subtitles in the first place, I doubt that person knows enough Japanese to be able to tell how "emotional" or "well" a seiyuu's acting is. People are so critical of English dubs because they can understand them. Of course, this only applies for fans who don't know Japanese. I like both subs and dubs and I know most people prefer whichever they hear first, but I think people can state their opinion about which they like without having to bash it. I don't even understand the dub hate because dubs aren't as bad as they used to be, but it's probably because of the negative impact of 4Kids.

anyway, what i dont like about anime is that it's so damn different than the manga.
take sailormoon and samurai deeper kyo for example. the anime has nothing to do with the manga. i usually read the manga now and hardly watch anime. oh and i like the eng. dubs well most of them. the only dub i hate is BlueWater. they completely destroyed DBGT than it already was.

Which is why I love W.I.T.C.H. so much. Each girl has different facial features, eyes, and bodies. Irma, the chubby one, is actually chubby! Will, the main character is called plain and she is actually plain! You could dress her as a princess and she would look out of place.
