Have You Seen Sailor Moon Live Action, or 'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon'? I thought it was cool, would've preffered a second season too ;)

I've seen pictures of it. They've got the girls putting on wigs when they transform (which looks really weird). I'd think it would be funny to see. But I don't like it that they have a human Luna.

LIVE ACTION SAILOR MOON??? i don't know bout that... sailor moon was my fave series growing up, but with all the special effects, doesn't it look weird as a live action?

The Live Action version of Sailor Moon actually had a better plot than the first season of the anime.

I wish a company would license it and bring it over to the States. Once you get past the corniness of the action sequences, it's actually very enjoyable. Even as corny as the action is, it was very well done.

True dat! When I first heard of the series, I really hates it and was never planning on watching it, but after getting through the first few episodes, I became hooked :D

I saw pictures of the actresses in the outfits...and read an online episode guide...never felt temped to watch it. It looked so, uh, weird. I mean, the sailor suits are cute on cartoony girls with long legs and huge eyes but on real people? Disturbing.

yha i know it kinda reminded me of power rangers but idk im easily intertained and there were a few things i was like "huh?" but it was still cute...
either or i still perfer it to thedubbed Sailor Moon anime

From what I understand the story arc in the Live Action series is how Takeuchi-Sensei wanted the manga to go but the plot got nixxed by her editors at Nakayoshi ...

So she wanted Sailor Moon to blow stuff up a lot and she wanted Ami to be evil for a while.. awesomeeeeeeeee

I loved the live action series .. it had a cutesy quality to it but also a very serious one at times. The actresses did good jobs... and the fact that they expanded on a few characters that got almost no time in the anime/manga made me happy :)

the live action was cute.It reminded me of power rangers though...
I thouhg i want gunna like it but i actually like it especially i think the last episode or was it the special act were Usagi and the others r "older" even though that look the same for the most part^^

It looks kind of weird to me but I find nothing that I can really complain about, aside from the costumes looking rather "bulky."

I saw one episode, I was disgusted and I couldn't stop laughing, not a fan of the orginal series, infact I hated it, and I just found the way they filmed the live action disgusting. In short to enjoy it you most be some perverted pedo or something.

I am not perverted, nor am I pedophile or anything of the sort. The show is meant to be tongue in cheek, the serious issues in the show were simply, how to keep love together when everyone tries to keep it apart. It went back to "If you love something, let it go. If its meant to be, it will come back."

Figure Skaters do it all the time... wasn't really her underwear it's a leotard with a skirt attached, I'm sure they wore underwear underneath the sailor suits. Plus it wasn't like that was the whole point of the show.

Though you can find porn parodies of it on E-bay

Just because you seem to have a problem with being titilated by the flash of the lower portions of their leotards doesn't mean everyone else does... Thanks for the insult though.

As for the SM live action crap, I think it looks cheesy beyond words. I don't have a problem with panty flashes, but most live-action things based off of anime are produced solely to steal your money.

Errr, I'm afraid I'm a Male... but I still stand by what I said, I spoke my mind, if you feel offende to bad for you, you can go shove your oppinion up your arse for all I care.

And for ice scaters, it's an other deal. From what I've seen of this show there is no reaso what-so-ever to do it here. Even if they are wearing real stuff under the suit, it doesn't matter. The intent is still there. And I find that disgusting.

I find it weird that people sweat the small stuff like that. You don't like their costumes? Fine, don't look at them. o.O;? Why let it bother you?

They put a lot of budget in that live action. But you know, Japan is way behind in 3D technologies... @.@ So it was way tacky and stuff. But yeah.

Sure, the first episodes were hilarious. Mainly because of the tackyness and the cheezy lines being said by Sawai (thank god she got better throughout the series).

But once you get past that, it has a VERY interesting story. But what I loved best are the vilains. XD; Kunzite and Malachite kept cracking me up! XD (Especially when there are fake ones of them in one of the specials! PRICELESS HILARIOUSNESS).

All I'm trying to say is you can't really judge a series by just the first few episodes. The series gets way darker and serious later on. The 3D stays crappy all throughout though...

They did in one episode I think, but not in every one. The yōma did look really bad, ala Power Rangers/TOEI Sentai shows though.

I remember watching some of the Sailor Moon Live action at a con and I could not stop laughing. It's just too cheesy. I thought it was cute, but I could not sit and watch it without laughing.

Well, I've been trying to say this, it's ok since it doesn't focus on it, it's you who choose to see it that way, if they didn't wear bathing suits, they'd be naked you know..... What I'm having problems with is not that the female body which you seem to think. Sometimes I get a feeling you choose to missunderstand what I say. My objection is using someone who is supposed to represent a 14 year old like that, from what I saw there where like zoomingins and stuff on stuff that was inaprorpiet for someone who was supposed to play a 14 year old. It's not showing of females I've got problems with it's showing off people representing very small girls the sameway. Get my drift?


(Also why are you attacking the ice skaters part of my reasoning? Just seems odd... Making me say the samething over again I said about ice skaters, I'm daced and confused)

Ok, sure, I agree with you, Usagi and the others are supposed to the 14. But obviously the actresses are older (I'm pretty sure older than 18, because of all the bathing suits/lingerie photoshoots in magazines there are of the actress playing Venus). So yeah, I've never had a problem with it personally (and anyway this is coming from a girl who has no problems seeing shota in her yaoi manga), but I do understand it might shock some people.

I personally thought the costumes were really well done. And anyway they were stiff, didn't show any actual curves 'cause they were like a mold. XD; Also, maybe it'd help if I pointed out that they wore skin-colored pantyhose?

See:

1. I don't define 14 as a "little girl", call a 14 year old little and they'll probably hate you. I'm not saying 14 is a mature age or an age I'd allow certain things at but 14 is not what I'd call little.

2. The "panty" shots are only there because there is little to no way of avoiding them when they do their "fight"* sequences, much like you can't avoid simliar "panty" shots when you film figure skating. You may think that it cut be avoided by chopping out these shots but if you did these scenes would likely look a lot less "fluid" and a bit choppy. The panty shots are not intended to titallate, yes they may well titallate some people but so do shots of feet, or noses, or elbows to some people.


*It's not that fight like, it's a bit silly actually. Fans call it "Ballet-fu (http://www.sailormoon.ws/archives/022204.html)".
