Which Genre of Manga do you Prefer?

Whats your favorite genre for Manga? Personally, I prefer Shounen xD DragonballZ, Bleach, Naruto, The Prince of Tennis etc.. Those were great! But I dont only stick to 1 catagory, infact, my favorite Anime was Sailor Moon, which is Shoujo ;) Anyway, this is just a poll, please specify your favorite manga for the catagory you chose.

Shounen: Manga appealing mostly to boys (or with tons of fangirls lol), often Sports or Action. Examples: DragonballZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto

Shoujo: Manga appealing mostly to girls (or with tons of fanboys), often Magical Girl series. Examples: Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach, Tokyo Mew Mew

Comedy/Romantic Comedy: Manga that deals with humurous situations. Examples: Ranma 1/2, Love Hina, Inu Yasha

Romance: Manga dealing with romantic situations. Examples: Fruits Basket, Saikano

Suspence/Thriller/Horror: Manga that takes unexpected plot twists, and often deals with horrific situations. Examples: xxxHOLiC, .hack//SIGN, Death Note

Sci-Fi/Mecha: Manga that often takes place in the future, or in outer space with high-tech machinery and armed forces. Examples: Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Brain Powered

Adventure: Manga dealing with characters leading quests or trying to accomplish certain goals. Examples: Digimon, Pokemon, Beyblade

Shounen-ai/Yaoi: Manga dealing with romantic homosexual relations between men. Examples: Gravitation, FAKE, Haru wo Daiteita

Shoujo-ai/Yuri: Manga dealing with romantic homosexual relations between women. Examples: ???

i tend to prefer the Comedy/Romantic Comedy books, like the ones mentioned above ie Ranma 1/2, inuyasha, Love Hina ect.
its always nice to have a serious moment then BAM some funny happens and breaks the tension. always a good choice : P

I read so many varying genres that it's hard to choose just one but I'd have to say that over all I tend to read a lot of shoujo titles.

But uh, anyways as for me it's a tie between two genres. Suspence/Thriller and Comedy / Romantic Comedy.

But since Death Note affected me more than any other manga... I'd go with Suspense/Thriller.

I'm not too much into shoujo or mushy hetero love stories ... lol. Although, I admit some of them do a really nice job. I still like Furuba and A Perfect Day for Love Letters.
Some of my favorite ones are Deathnote, xxxHolic, Tarot Cafe and Yotsuba&. I prefer humor and sort of dark genre. :3

Umm.. no... Ranma 1/2 and Love Hina fall under Romance, but not under Shoujo... Likewise, Magic Knight Rayearth and Cardcaptor Sakura fall under Shoujo, but not under Romance

I vote shoujo! Especially shoujo romantic comedies. Yaaayyy!
I also like comedy, drama, and romance---Full Metal Panic! and Genshiken are good. I've never been a shounen-ai fan, although Loveless looks interesting. Also never been a fan of most shounen manga, or at least the shounen manga of the guys-with-giant-muscles-making-other-guy's-heads-explode variety. I do like Death Note though.

Oh, definitely comedy/romantic comedy for me. The bulk of my manga falls into that category. But I also have more hardcore science-fiction, mech, and fantasy titles as well with a few shounen and even a horror title thrown in there for good measure...

However, in terms of what I prefer, I must admit that I have a soft spot for many romance and romance/comedy titles, although I do also like quite a few from other genres. :D

I cannot really pick just one genre for I read many genre’s. Each genre has a different reaction to me when I read it, which leads to different feelings and different experiences. I read each manga for a reason, being the story or the art, or just the general felling I get from it, but genre was never something I took into consideration as to why I read it.

If I read it, that’s because I like it, no matter what genre it may be.

It's got both the specialised categories (Horror ect.) along with the more general ones (Shoujo, Shounen) and it has shoujo and shounen but lacks seinen, josei, kodomo and sallaryman (not that we get many josei or sallaryman in this part of the world)@_@.
Anyways for the record I like seinen the most.
Mainly horror (voted for that one) and sci-fi stuff. But I also love yuri and action...
Oh and for examples of yuri there's: Maria-sama ga Miteru, Kannazuki no Miko and Yami to Hon to Boushi no Tabibito. The first two are manga/doujinshi (KnoM's doujinshi was kinda sucky) as well as anime and Marimite was originally a series of Japanese novels. While the last, Yamibou, is an anime based on an erogame.

I love shounen-ai/yaoi, but none of the titles you mentioned XD; (Haru wo Daiteita is alright, the art sort of throws me a little T_T)... I can't really help it XD; Of course, there are exceptions in that list that I love as well. I can never really get into shoujo stories, just because most of them are way too cheesy for me to handle. I love suspense/thriller/horror, because it gets me really interested, really fast. Comedies are also love. It's funny... I like my manga the way I like my movies ^^

I like Suspense/Thiller/Horror and I dont care if its done in shounen or shoujo style. I like either genre. I also like Shounen-ai/BL/Yaoi :D Since most manga styles seem to fuse together so many genres its hard to pick 1 or 2 since alot of comedy has romance and vice versa. But mystery/suspense/horror is my fav.
