I've never had it; there's no Starbucks here yet but they have Beano's and Costa Cofee and whatever.
My dad's had it before though and he says its good. And there's no way he'd pay that much money for cofee unless it damn good. I'd love to go to a Starbucks though, to do two things:
1. Ask for a plain cofee with nothing just to disappoint them
2. Get the mst expensive, outrageous thing on the menu
But I normally like plain cofee with chocolate. I like to taste the cofee, not just the extra flavors and whipped cream and junk.

I worked as a Starbucks barista through college and can assure you this will never disappoint any of the employees. We sold more regular coffee than anything else. In fact, usuall we were happy when people would order regular coffee, because all we had to do was put it in the cup and ring you up.
Now, if you want to piss them off, go in at the busiest time of day (the morning rush between 7:00 and 8:00am) and order the most complicated thing possible like an iced triple grande ristretto 1 1/2 pump vanilla 2 pump hazlenut blended w/ heavy cream and whole milk half ice heavy caramel caramel macchiato. I guarantee the barista will want to kill you.
That was an actal drink a regular customer used to order. And he was every bit as big a douchebag as his drink would imply.

Sounds delicious!! Yum~
Well, there's a starbucks by my house and everytime I stay up late studying, I would probably just stop by there and just get those cold frappachino's.

Um, you know that's just plain apple juice that you can buy at any grocery store, right? Are you talking about the apple cider?

I love Starbucks coffee and Iced Caffé Mochas and Lattes. If anything we need more Starbucks around here since most of them are located downtown. Also I'm getting pretty sick of Tim Hortans coffee.

xD This was a few years back but I think it was because it was really hot that day and I hadn't had apple juice for a long time. -nods- It was cold and good. ^^;;;
I haven't really drank anything from Starbucks (which is really sad considering the city here has like one on every block. x_x) except those bottled coffee drinks and I still don't remember what they're called.

I love Starbucks Coffee. Maybe the only place that makes coffee I like more would be Peet's Coffee, but there isn't one around here, so I just drink Starbucks. Most of the time I buy the beans and grind them at home and make coffee myself.
But yeah, when I do go to starbucks, I usually only get normal brewed coffee, except in the summer, when I get iced americano (espresso with water, like a milk-less latte) because iced coffee isn't so good.

I'm with you there. Pete's rules! I try to goto non corporate chain coffee houses when they are available. But sometimes SB's is the only option. I like a lot of different things but the green tea frap is awesome, but a rare treat due to it being mega fatty. Also like the mocha, and machiato (lately, maple). I rarely get plain coffee there. I figure I can make that at home so there's no point in it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I would genuinly like to support non corporate coffee houses, but most of the ones around here are so poorly run and spotty I'd rather use my money now to pat Starbucks on the back for being constant and friendly and clean.
Which is one of the genius parts of their dedication to keeping things constant by refusing to franchise, and owning each branch themselves.

Almost every time I go there (which is not very often) I get shady service. Mabye it's just my area but the coffee is not good enough to be treated like that.

What I hate about Starsucks:
1. Working for them.(I no longer do that, thankfully)
2. Stuck-up customers who think they're so cool for ordering coffee with foreign names and being able to say "Double-tall-skinny-half-caff-caramel-machiato-with sugar-free-french-vanilla" really fast and without stumbling on their words. (When we all knew they were practicing saying that over and over in their heads while they waited on line, or becuase they order it every day and that's all they know how to say.)
3. When customers order and refer to cup size as "regular"...OMFG...
4. Everytime a pastry (i.e. cookies or cake) would brake...for some reason a lot of customers hate eating broken foods....O.o
5. High pricess for "okay" coffee...really folks, DunkinDonuts and Burger King have far better tasting coffee for cheaper.
What I liked about working at Starsucks:
1.Laughing at stuckup New York customers who think they're so fancy for coming to Starbucks. If they only knew how practical it all really is....sigh..
2. Jerk customers who order with a snobbish attitude and ask for "Skinny" lattes....I made their drinks with half&half.
3. The Smell of coffee and being around it.
4. Wearing an aapron.
5. Drinking free espresso shots off the caffina
6. My nice regular customers. I loved them, they made my day ^_^
7. Getting tips.
8. Cute college boys that came to study XD
9. Cool co-workers that made it tolerable to go to work.
10. Having worked there and now being able to burn that image of vanity and fancyness it has ( like I'm doing now).
My favorite drink: Venti-iced soy-chai latte...*drools*
I don't like any of their foods because just one food item is ridiculously high in calories.

i love coffee.. (since the students in our school are known for doing alot of schoolwork and review for tons of quizzes.. yes, we cram.) it's my bestfriend!! (for those nights when sleep is not an option) though i know too much caffeine is bad for my health, i still can't stop drinking coffee during "hell week". (you know.. tons of.. work.) there are 3 options i have when i need to cram.. first, the cold bath. if it doesn't work, the second option is choco. though not very recommendable since i get so hyper that i wouldn't be able to concentrate on my work. third, as you expect, would be the coffee.. though it doesn't really have to be Starbucks Coffee. most of the time, i drink coffee without putting cream. just sugar and coffee. sometimes, i put powder chocolate in it. :)

I worked at Starbucks before interning at Tokyopop (and then getting hired by them), and I have to admit that I hate coffee. I don't like the smell or taste of brewed coffee, and I don't like the taste of espresso, even when it's been diluted with a lot of milk.
Making the espresso drinks, however, was a lot of fun for some reason.
As for what I like to drink from there... I love the Raspberry Chai tea latte (something I made up when working there. It's a chai latte with raspberry syrup), and the passion iced tea lemonade.

I actually like the smell of cofee better than it's taste. If it didn't smell so good I wouldn't like it as much.
@kaysa: Your post really made me laugh. XD Stupid stuck-up people. I really want to go to a Starbucks and just go 'can I have a cofee...black?'
My favorite cofee place so far is Beano's, because they give little muffin things with their cofee.

Even though Starbucks is overpriced I still love some of their drinks. Actually today I got my fav drink, the Peppermint Mocha ^^ its a mocha with... Peppermint! *gasps* the first time I tried coffe with out any extra flavors or toppings was at this fundraiser at school. They had coffee for sale and since I was working for the fundraiser I got to have some for free, so I tried some with cream and sugar(i think) and it actually tasted good! (i can't wait to get some more!) Caribou Coffee is okay too except they don't have Starbuck's awesome Frappuchinos. :p

I don't know about Starbucks in places other than England, it's an American thing so maybe it's different there... But basically I think it's a complete rip. Sure, it's nice. But it's also right next to Coffee Revolution which is just as nice only cheaper. What is the point I ask!? Well, the only appealing thing about Starbucks for me is it closes an hour later.

I like their plain hot coffee. Yukon blend or bold, or their house blend. A little sugar, a little half and half or cream, and ahhh. Hits the spot when you're exhausted and there's no such thing as being able to take a nap. I just wish they carried cream... I sometimes bring my coffee back to the office and put the cream and sugar there.
Don't see how people can drink their coffee with so much cream, sugar, or whatever. Flavored (like that French Vanilla or Hazelnut) coffee sounds so weird.
The deadly thing.. is where it's located. Cobblestones are not your friend.

I like Starbucks. When I get a drink there, it's usually a grande Americano. Every 5 days or so I buy a pound of French Roast beans and have them ground on #4 (super fine).
During the holidays, I usually buy an eggnog latte until they stop carrying them.
The thing I hate about Starbucks is that I couldn't find one in Orlando this past weekend. I drove all over and ended up having to buy coffee from Dunkin' donuts.

Pumpkin spice lattes.
White chocolate peppermint mochas.
Gingerbread lattes.
Will forever be a devotte to the white chocolate mocha with extra whip cream.
Quick! Name which historical Seattle landmark is near the original Starbucks!
(Hint...really famous landmark...and to make this darn near idiot proof: Flying fish.)
And has anyone *seen* the original mermaid? All I can say is, "Something that makes you go, "Ugh!"

I've gotten some of the coffees and some of the fresh frappuccinos and I honestly thought they were disgusting. The whipped creame they put on the top made it worse. The only thing I like from them is the vanilla frappuccinos in the sealed glass bottles that you can get practically anywhere. The coffee one and the mocha one aren't too bad either. I've tried the double chocolate mint one once or twice and it tasted like what I'd imagine very minty poo to taste like. They had another mint one that I tried once that wasn't too bad though but I don't remember the name of it.
I had one of their cappuccino brownies too once and it tasted awful. But the guy behind the counter was an amazing salesman and I can't believe he actually got me to buy one of the things.
I really don't see what's so wonderful about Starbucks though. The local convenience markets/gas stations in town all have much much better coffee, and for a whole lot cheaper. I've got friends now who only drink Starbucks coffee even though the nearest one is at least 20 miles away.
