I'm just wondering where Priest volume 15 is? Currently in Korea they are working on volume 17, which is not yet collected. I'm not complaining, it's worth the time to wait for a good book, but I got volume 14 back in december of 2004/january 2005.

When is Priest 15 comming out? It has been over a year since the last issue! Whatever momentum the sieries had is now lost with casual readers, not to mention the frustration that true fan have since there has been little to no news about the hold up. can some one enlighten me?

I understand your frustration. Trust me, no one's a bigger Priest fan than me. Rest assured, Volume 15 is on its way. We don't have a release date yet as we're still awaiting our copies of the book from the Korean licensor. However, as soon as it has a release date, I'll post it in these forums.

Truth be told, if anything the delay has actually given readers who weren't reading Min-Woo's great manhwa a chance to catch up. When I first took over as editor of the series, no one I spoke to had read Priest, but over the course of this past year, I've seen it mentioned more frequently on manga websites and forums, and now with the announcement of the film, it's even starting to be discussed in the mainstream press.

In short, there's plenty of Priest to come! Just hang in there!

Priest is really good. I've only read up to the 6th volumes (the 7th volume's never at the bookstore...). It's one of the few manhwa that is veeery good, with unique style. The story also gets better as it goes on. :3

How about bringing over Min-Woo's other title for fan that are waiting on Priest?

Well, that's too bad. Considering that Priest is one of the best Manga series available. I've also heard that vol.15 is on the way. Min-Woo Hyung's art is haunting and beautiful. The character designs are wicked cool. Plus, the story keeps you coming back after each volume which is key in manga.

Have you guys seen Justice and Mercy, Min-Woo's Art book? I highly recommend it!

Definitely missing out. One of the best tragic-unforbidden-love/revenge story.

I'm eagerly waiting for the next Priest volumes as well. Let's just hope that the author doesn't give up on Priest like the author of Ragnarok did :D

Is it true that volume 15 of Priest will be releaed on November 2007? I saw this on the Amazon.com. I also saw another site which said it would be released in March 2007. Can an editor either confirm or deny this claim?

Sorry, actually I meant November 7, 2006. I don't know where I got 2007. Slight mistype. Thanks for the reply!

I guess im one lucky guy since i live in Hong kong, quite close to korea, and volume 15 here is already releasd, and of course i read it :D

if u want to have a rough idea of what volume 15 is about, read on, but there will be spoilers ahead --

volume 15 is tragic and sad, because one of the best characters in priest (to me personally) dies VERY unreasonably  . if u really, desperately want to know who he/she is, post a request and i will tell you personally

The covers are new on the U.S. editions; the original Korean covers are different. The artist we used is involved in other projects at this time, so I don't know what's going to happen with the covers for 15 and 16.

i really love the US editions by Raymond Swanland :D but was wondering did you use him for vol.14? cause they cover seems out of place (not drawn like the other 13..)

i hope you do get him for all the vols. that artwork is the whole reason i bought priest and thank goodness i did :D

thanks for the info.

you learn something new everyday *grabs priest* all the previous vols do credit Swanland... this one tho (14) has Raymond, Min-Woo Hyung and Ray Makowski.

so thats why looks a bit different :o

I thought that Priest was simply an unfinished series...which irritated me to know end, since it's one of my favorite comics ever. But now I see that volume 15 is due out later this year...so I have a couple of questions.

1 - What exactly happened? Did Mr. Hyung simply take a hiatus?

2 - Is 15 going to be the last volume? There seems to be a lot to wrap up in just one book.

...Why did the topic I posted get merged into this one?

Sorry I couldn't get you an answer sooner. It's been a couple weeks since I've visited the forum.

1. Quite simply, we caught up with the Korean release. Min-Woo Hyung began Priest in Korea long before we started publishing it, so for awhile we could release the book every other month, since there were so many pre-existing volumes to publish. With the publication of Vol. 14, we caught up with the Korean release, and now we need to wait for Min-Woo Hyung to finish each additional volume before we can publish it. Also complicating the fact is that he's not drawing Priest as quickly as he used to. He has a variety of other projects he's involved with which have stolen much of his time. Where we used to get nearly four volumes of Priest a year, now we're lucky if we get one.

2. No. As a matter of fact, Vol. 16 has been released in Korea and we'll be releasing it out here in the States next year.
