Nobody has mentioned Pittsburgh's resident anime convention yet: Tekkoshocon!

This year it is on March 31, at Pittsburgh ExpoMart and Radisson Hotel Pittsburgh in Monroeville, PA.

This will be the convention's fourth year. Is anyone here attending?

I want to go but my boyfriend wont let me because he is afraid I will get abducted by the creepy yaoi fan girls again... (It was more like them just following us around and uttering scary comments and things like "Kiss already dammit!"... yaoi fan girls = scary...)

Some of the members of my anime and I are going. We'll be heading there from Philadelphia. Man, the trip will take forever but I'm sure Tekkoshocon will be worth the long ride. :D

Also, If I went I would get tired of waiting and go look for that store I saw a commercial on (called Kawaii gifts or something like that...) and go there but no doubt the people who work there would be at the convention... *Sighs*

I do believe KawaiiGifts is slotted for the dealers room again this year. I wouldn't bother with their store tho, god-aweful expensive >.>

It was awesome!
There was this one kid who cosplayed as Sasuke and he went around slashing at people with a kunai and saying "You've just been assassinated!" He got my twice. The second time I went "Again?" and he was like "Oops" and ran away. I ran after him and got a picture of him "attacking" my friends. Good times. :D

It has the usual stuff cons have; a dealers room, an artist alley, viewing rooms, a gaming room, etc.

I used a digital camera. I didn't get as many pictures as I like since I got kind of shy so I didn't ask a lot of people for pictures.

Tekkosho was good^-^ I went on sunday and there wasn't much going on but it was still fun. I want to be in the costume contest next year! Ooo! I saw the most awsomenest cosplay of ed and al from full metal alchimist! al was like the same size and everything! it was so great^-^ We should have a meet up next year,i'm guessing the people posting in this thread are around the pittsburgh area atleast right?

Actually... I live in Philadelphia which is at least five hours away from Pittsburgh. I don't know if I can go next year since I plan on going to Katsucon which is much closer by at least an hour or two.
I wouldn't mind meeting up with people I talk to on forums though (as long as it's well-plan and no one's an ax murderer). It might be fun.
Nothing much was happening on Sunday since it was the last day. Just about everything happened on Saturday instead. There were a bunch of things going on during Friday but unfortunately for me, I got there kind of late. X|
I didn't cosplay at the con. I felt so normal. *sigh*

i've only been to one con, and it was last years otakon. i didn't cosplay either, but the next time i go to a convention, i'm going to dress up. I saw so many awesome outfits, and some people fit into their roles really well. It made me wish i had cosplayed, but I don't kno what i should be. Mostly because the outfit either has to be simple, or very cheap, cause i can't afford much. Any suggestions anyone??
