How do you do it? I like to fry an egg, pop the yolk, chop it up and add it to the ramen with about 2 teaspoons of curry powder. It is fabulous. I'm addicted to curry. :p

Boil water in a small pot. Add the ramen in. Sometimes add in fish balls (They look like those things that you see on those sticks). Mix in the flavoring and stir with my chopsticks for like 3-5 minutes. :9

I do not cook ramen. Yay for me.

I usually boil it on the stove top in a pot of water. I'm not a big fan of the instant ramen in a cup. Although, I have stir-fried my ramen several times before, like the cooks at Mongolian Barbeque. It tastes soooo good!! :D Especially with teriyaki sauce... *g*

mmmm...ramen...my friend... I boil water and add the noodles+water in my bowl, then the flavor. Sometimes I like to add gummy bears, peanut butter, nesquick, 4 tablespoons of salt and some other stuff.

I just boil mine in water for 5 minutes like the instructions say to on the back. My parents get mad for some reason if I don't make it the way suppose to be made.

Such as adding things such as eggs, fried or like egg drop soup, vegitables, chicken or beef or pork. Spice it yourself like adding chili powder, curry, wasabi or whatever. You can also fry it. There are a million different combinations. And as for it being blasphemy, well that's just ignorance. How do you think japanese people cook ramen? Do you think they all have the same recipe? Come on people, open up yourselves to the wide, rich culinary world of ramen! :p You won't regret it.

I like doing crazy things like that to popcorn, so I know its fun to change the recipe and deviate from the norm. I was just testing you. :p All in good fun.
But...isn't ramen just noodles or something? *never-had-ramen*

Um... add water, let sit, and stir?
I really see no need to mess with something instant. ^^
Probably because I only eat the instant kind. XD

I know someone who put a cup of ramen in a microwave and it came out messed up. I know another person who did the same and ended up with weird-tasting ramen.
Apparently they don't know the "Art of Heating Instant Noodles."

Difficult for some it is, the Way of the Cooking of the Ramen Noodles. Many years it takes. Training you must do.

I usually don't have time to do this, but, I like to cook my ramen in a large wok w/ veggies and meats (ham and chicken are the best for this!)
I've wanted to try some ramen recipes I found that used tofu (tofu tastes best when eaten with other things, never alone). But, because of malo educatio I only have time to cook the instant stuff minus all the delicious meats and veggies... TT.TT

i have a ramen packet ok. i mush it up so it's in little pieces (that way i can eat with spoon). i dump it in a microvavable bowl and put water in it (enough to fill all ramen in bowl). i then put in microvave for 3:00. i take it out, get a colondor (strainer, i guess) and dump the water out. i put the ramen back in the bowl and add the seasoning that came in the ramen package. stir it up and enjoy. it takes me under 5 minutes to do

Well, there's nothing wrong with cooking it like the package says... it's just that I always deviate from cooking instructions and I figure that others might too; trying to get some more ideas. Maybe I should post a tread on spagetti... I put chili and sour cream in it, delicious.

Heh, I'll have you all know that I read this thread as a lurker, and had no idea you could put such things into ramen. However, I experimented with your suggestions, and now I won't eat ramen WITHOUT curry powder and an egg mixed in. :p

Add a slightly beaten egg, chilli powder, soy. Some chicken or pork if there's some around. Fish/Pork/Chicken balls or (my fave) fish tofu if we have some. Asian veggies too.

I cook it on the stove like the package says. every now and then I'll empty out the broth. I add the seasoning after it's all cooked too. Though, these days just for the sake of time, I've been microwaving it. >__<

ewwww.. mircowaved ramen tastes like crap, and so does it when you drian out the liquid. Ramen is noddle soup, look at the package it says it, and therefore should have liquid to it. its just eww*semi-vomit*
now I really really want to put a fried egg in ramen now, thanks, no really I mean thanks for telling me about something that sounds so good XD

Yeah it is a little gross microwaved. It tastes like that icky cup-o-noodles stuff, but it fills me up when I don't have a lot of time to cook it. But I do sometimes like it with out the liquid. You don't always have to follow what the package says, you know.
I've also experimented a little. I found some cool ramen recepies online somewhere and tried a few of them. It was a while ago so unfortunately I can't remember what it was I tried. :/
My brother likes to drain the liquid, add shredded cheese and wrap it up in a tortilla wrap. He claims it's good, but I dunno. I'm a little skeptical to try that since I'm a little messy with tortilla wraps. They always fall apart on me. It's an interesting idea though.

We've gathered from the way you go "ewwwww" when someone says they like it without it. Or if someone says they like it any other way than what the package specifically says.

no that's not true, I really want to try it with a fried egg like someone said. I thik it sounds really good, or like you make the noodle and don't the poweder and they tastes so good with stir-fry XD so see, I don't feel that anyother way is gross and yeah

I boil the noodles to death for 15-20 minutes while streaching the noodles to about 1-1/2 ft XD Then I take the noodles right out of the water and put them in a bowl. I pour as much water as I can into the bowl o.o followed by loads of black pepper but not all of the seasoning.
