I really like the music, but I don't think he's hot (something about guys and colorful eye shadow...)

It's quite simple, people grow and change over the years. For example, when I was about three, I had a toy called the Tooneyville Choo-Choo. It was a little train that played as it would move along it would loudlyplay little kid songs and make all kinds of neat little noises. At the time, I thought that was the greatest invention of all time. Now, at the age of thirty two, it doesn't quite hold my interest like it once did. When I was thirteen, I was convinced that Thrashin' was one of the five greatest movies ever made. Now I go back and watch the DVD and cringe at how bad it is. The same goes for music, there was music I absolutely loved when I was a teenager that I don't now because I've grown and my tastes have changed.

Anyway, getting back on topic, I don't know if Bian Molko is hot or not, but I think Placebo is an amazing band.

well, i think its one thing to grow out of things (that is quite a jump from three to thirty-two), but when i hear people under the age of twenty, talking about growing out of bands after 2 or 3 years, you have to wonder if they really liked the band at all. i mean, i can see why some fans of early incubus might not like them now, the sound is quite different (i personally don't mind the change, and can't wait to see their live next year!), but i don't think Placebo has changed much since when I first listened to them. but thats just me ^^;

and i do like the lead singer a bit more without the colorful eyeshadow >>;; its a little too fabulous for me lol

Okay, I'll admit it, I still like my Tooneyville Choo-Choo. ;)

But seriously folks, I know that was a bit of an extreme example, but I was just trying to illustrate my point that tastes change as people grow. I do think there are those who just jump on whatever particular bandwagon is rolling through at the time. But, I also don't think it's too terribly far fetched to go through a phase in which you like a particular thing at one time only to be not as enamored with it a couple of years later for what ever reason. That's all I was saying.

And I still think Placebo are an amazing band. :)
