Last year just before summer was so confusing.. Changing release dates a few times on the site so i never knew when the next volume supposed to be out coz then it stated each month, then every 2 months. So now i was wondering how is this planned this year, every 2 months? every 4 months? every month? :o

It is currently scheduled to be released every 4 months so the next issue will be out in August and the following in December.

I agree that more releases would be fun. but Id rather have them take there time and have less mistakes in every manga then speed up the releases and keep some mistakes that are made now. XD

They're slowing down the release dates because they're almost caught up with the Japanese issues. If you were to catch up to the Japanese issues, then that would be 4 months of waiting for the volume to come out, and then an additional one to two months for the English version to come out. No one wants to wait six months between volumes, so it's easier to just stagnate and release at the same schedule with the Japanese books, but remain a few volumes behind.

I read somewhere that Natsuki Takaya will end Fruits Basket at Volume 22, I believe or Volume 21, but I'm mostly leaning to 22. WELL SOMEWHERE IN THE 20s -- before 25. The last'll be out by 2007.

I think we can all give a collective cry of: "NOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!!!!!"
i guess no manga keeps going forever.. but sometimes I'd like them to.

The actual editor for "Fruits Basket" specifically or Tokyopop editors in general? I know for sure "in general" they do hang out here and answer questions (as already demonstrated in this thread). But I couldn't say for sure whether or not FB's specific editor does.

I'm not sure if all the editors are on the forums, but I do know that most of them are and pay a lot of attention to what's going on and being said.
Was there a specific question you wanted to ask Paul, or were you just curious to know if he was on?

Yeah, it all depends on our invididual ratios of bored:busy. :D And Paul's tends to be 1:100,000.

This is definitely true on both parts. ^.^ Although I wonder how many of the editors go check out the forums when they should be working... :D

I have a qeustion again about Fruits Basket.
While i was searching on the japanese version of amazon to find a pic of the volume 20 cover i came across the Official Fruits Basket Journal (http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/1598162608/qid=1144790684/sr=1-16/ref=sr_1_2_16/249-5025314-8342719) ?! Now i wonder whats in there etc? Cant find anything about in on the tokyopop site?(maybe i'm blind)

I'm thinking of getting that fanbook for a long time actually.. or that other fanbook with Yuki, Tohru and Kyo on the cover.. but then i saw this and i was like ohh maybe this is a fanbook too..but it isnt, might buy it though (the journal) if i find it somewhere for a fair price and fair shipping rates(mostly they are way overpriced if you ask me)..LOL

Nope, the Official Fruits Basket Journal isn't a fanbook, but if you are looking for one, you can get the official fanbook -- Fruits Basket: Neko No Maki (Cat Volume). It's only been released in Japan though, but you can get it imported ;)
I just got that book from the travelling man. It's really good so far from what i can get of the hiragana but the kanji is confusing me like nothing on earth :)

What exactly is a "fanbook?" I have the character book with Kyo, Tohru, and Yuki laying in the grass. I love the beautiful pictures in it. Of course it's in Japanese so I can only read it but not comprehend it competely...yes...it's rather tragic.
Does her artbook have art from when she started to the present? Ether way, she's great. :)

The artbook is gorgeous :D and I love the neko fan book :) It has cute stickers, but I don't wanna use them, 'cause I wanna keep 'em forever! And even a look at how Takaya-sensei photoshopped the cover! I'd love to see the fan book translated ::hinthintnudgenudgetokyopop?::

Actually, the thing I like least about Fruits Basket is the artwork. Its not my style at all and looks amateurish to me sometimes. But after reading the 30-page Tokyopop preview in their Manga magazine and falling in love with Yuki, I decided to give the series a try, see what all this hype is about. And find out what the deal with Kyo is...sheesh, everyone loves him.
I prefer the fanbook to the artbook. I adore the extra stories like Ritsu's walk with Mitsuru. Some of the stories are funnier than others.
