Which one u wanna buy?
IMHO Xbox 360 is a good choice, there's no need to wait, its awesome system, has and will have awesome games and graphics, Xbox Live... some good RPG (Blue Dragon, Elder Scrolls...), but i'll probably buy 360 and PS3

I'm probably going to go with a PS3 and a Nintendo Revolution. The PS3 I'll definetly be getting thanks to Metal Gear Solid 4, the Revolution has me interested because of the controller that they went with for it. As for the Xbox360 I honestly haven't been a fan of it or the selection of games so far. If I get one it will be after I see games for it that are exclusive to the system.

Revolution, natch. I like the controller, I like the fact you can download old Nintendo games and I don't like the fatc that XBox360 has such a poor selection of games (imho) and a rubbish controller.
As for Ps3, I just din't like it. Maybe as a second console seeing as Revolution is eveidently in a totally differen category...

I want PS3 and the Revolution.
Xbox just doesn’t have the kind of exclusive games I want to play. The only game that has come out for only Xbox that I really want to play is Fable, but I can get that for the PC.
Anyway I don't buy any system unless it has at lest three exclusive title that I just have to have. The Xbox has yet to do that.
The only system that I might buy at launch is the revolution because of the ability to download all of the old school Nintendo games on it.
I’m not a big fan of FPS so i don't really care about Halo...witch is also available for the PC
Xbox Live also isn't a issue because the PS3 will have a online system that is model after Xbox Live but is supposedly going to be free. Nintendo is also offering some kind of online service but I don't really know much about it

Well, if they ever release a PS3 which I highly doubt, for many reasons, 1 being sued and losing because of the stolen controller tech...
Well, no matter what, I'm going to get the Revolution the day it comes out, even if i have to sell a kidney (not mine of course, that would hurt, are you nuts, I hate pain.)
Even if PS3 comes out, unless they release a new ,Hack// for it, no thanks. And especially not at that price!
X-box 360, No.

Well PS3's been announced as getting a release this November, so...

I would probably get PS3 for MGS 4 and RE 5. Hopefully, Konami will also keep making the Genso Suikoden games for the PS3. I won't buy at launch b/c of recent reports of the price coming in at least $425. . I would suggest waiting until the industry decides between Blu-ray and HD DVD because if HD is choosen, then that might increase the cost of the PS3.

I'm definitely getting a Revolution I am a big fan of Nintendo. When the PS3 is cheaper I'll get that too since the game lineup for the PS3 looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of Microsoft so I won't be buying a 360. There's nothing interesting for me to play on it

03-17-2006, 02:36 PM
The main one I'm looking forward to is the PS3. I might go after the Revolution too, depending on the games they announce for it.
I don't think I'd ever buy an XBox 360...

Anyways, I'm all for PS3 and Revolution.

If I had the money I'd get both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. But since I don't I think I'll just stick with the PS2 for awhile. I'm not too excited about the Revolution but if it has some good titles on it and is decently priced I might consider picking that up.

I'm not sure anymore. I used to think, Playstation. Definitely. Because I'm a supporter of Playstation, but I haveee Playstation 2.. so should I try others?

 Xbox 360? Yup.. already got it.
PS3.. Yup will get it!
Nintendo Revelution? Thats the *Maybe*. I'm not a big fan of the little purple purse the Big N released for its last system. While I do like some of the games on it...I've ended up playing both my Xbox and PS2 waaaaay more.

Ps3 is on top any company capable of screwing up a release as bad as microsoft doesnt deserve it
that and the ps3 has better graphics
revolution could change my mind though

Revolution. I'm not touching the PS3 until it's under $250. Just isn't worth it. I'm still having fun with the PS2 -- why would I want to buy something new that doesn't have anything to go for it but being a little prettier? Blah. I don't care about graphics -- certainly not for $500.

The Xbox 360 is going to fall once the PS3 comes out. I hope it does because I never liked it how microsoft is trying to take over the gaming world with it's Xbox. But the one I'd want is the Nintendo Revolution. Yea! The PS3 looks tempting especially sense MGS4 is coming out on it, but I'll wait until it's cheaper, like did for MGS2 and the PS2. But the Revolution is going to be awesome. You can download older system games plus next gen games for it. I kinda hope it beats out the xbox 360 and the PS3 to put Nintendo back on top.

The Revolution probably is not going to rule the nex-gen war but I think it can. The only problem is that the PS (all of them) are soported by all the publishers on the industry so its a little hard to take it down. The Xbox 360 its just not competion, it have a cool online thing with Xbox Live but hey Sony ain't blind, they are going to do an even better online interface. I dont know how Nintendo will go with the online thing but downloading a huge list of clasic games is just to good to miss.

Sony has shown us nothing. There is no way to prove that it has better graphics or worse graphics at all. Until Sony shows actual in-game footage, and not some video mock-ups of what their games might look like, I say hold your judgement.
Plus, after losing that lawsuit against Immersion, for using stolen tech in the PS2 and PS3 controllers, they are going to have to come up with a new controller design, inside and out. Thats going to push the system back at the least 2 months.
The Blu-Ray drive is already pushing it back to late November-mid-December.
Then theres the fact that you will not be able to use rented games on the system, or borrow a friends. They are encoding the system and games, so that they can't be used except on the system that first uses it - kind of like certain Dreamcast games.
I also read somewhere that the future of Sony is riding on the PS3. The PSX did horrible in Japan, and that is why it was never brought out here. Sony is constantly losing money, and taking barely anything in.
Microsoft released 1.2 million 360's each month at launch.
Sony is going so release less than that at launch, and is also releasing the system in multiple countries on the same day.
Well now, lets see.
First Nintendo decides not to partner with Sony, creating their biggest competitor. Then Nintendo sells Rare to Microsoft. Which has made only one game (if that) for the X-Box. Nintendo Laughing all the way to the bank on that one. Now Sony can barely keep it's head above water, cause of all the problems that they are encountering, which wouldnt have happened if Nintendo stayed partnered with them.
It seems like Nintendo can predict the future, cause they seem to know how and when, what they do, will eventually screw everyone!:D

I plan on getting the PS3 and Revo, most certainly. The reason(besides MONEY!!) that I won't be nabbing a 360 is simply due to the fact that there aren't enough games or franchises on the boat to woo me.
Unfortunately, only Squeenix and Konami are keeping me on the PS3 wagon. I don't like Sony's decisions or Kutaragi's inflated ego, but I loves me some Dragon Quest and Metal Gear Solid.
On every other front, the Rev has me. It's not about polygon-pushing-- it's about FUN. Something Sony lost in the middle of the PS2 era(read: little to no experimentation; the foolish 2D rule that killed Working Designs).

The PS3 is likely to be between $300 and $700, according to analysts. The high price is mostly because of the new Blu Ray technology, which is really really expensive. Plus, people from Sony have said that although a hard drive will be required to play games, the PS3 WON'T ship with one. WTF?
The Revolution will come with everything you need to play games for less than $200. Even though we haven't seen any graphics or anything, that's really enough for me. :D

There is no price tag to the PS3 so dont go talking about $700. Sony wont go to a high price with the PS3 so dont worry, it probably be $400 like the Xbox 360.

Actually, the Metal Gear Solid 4 footage showed off the power of the PS3, which made up for assembled film like Killzone. The PS3 controller was crafted -after- losing to Immersion, so there's no worries over lawsuits unless Alps Manufacturing still lives and decides the boomerang looks too close to thier own controller for the PS1 back in '97-ish. As for encoding, Sony has stated they won't pursue that. If they did, it would seal their fate. The most that could work is, like Sega did, online-only games.
And I doubt Sony is seeing any financial troubles. Considering the multimedia grasp they have, the millions being paid to Immersion can almost be wiped off.
I'm pulling for Nintendo nonetheless, however. I'd rather have fun than have specs.

Easy question for me: the Wii. There have not been any games that interested me on the X-Box or 360, so that's an easy pass. And the PS2 games are mostly too easy, but I see the PS3 as a cry:
"Look at us! We have pretty graphics!"
Yeah? What else ya got?
"We have the Blu-ray player!"
And on my TV, that's no improvement over DVD. Not to mention that there's no movies out for it yet, so I don't care. Try something else?
"Umm... uhh... stolen ideas from Nintendo and Microsoft?"
Nope, no PS3 for me, especially at those prices. I still think that $150 is too much for the PS2, so I don't predict a PS3 will ever be in this house. But the Wii, well... the virtual console had me hyped from the beginning, and after seeing the E3 demo, I SO want to get my hands on that controller. Nintendo pulled me back into gaming with the DS, and I'd not be surprised if the Wii makes me an addict again...

ppl the price for ps3 is announced
$499 PS3 with 20GB hard drive
$599 PS3 wit 60GB hard drive
to be released November 11, 2006
and the new controller design isnt the boomerang anymore, it looks just like the ps2's controller, only with wireless capabilities
it doesnt cost as much as ppl thought it would be...$700 common jeeze
Xbox 360 is also $499 with 20GB hard drive
($399 with out)

"Are there two versions that people want to buy, is my question. I don't know. When I look at those formats, I think it just confuses the audience. They don't know which one to buy, developers don't know which one to create for, and retailers don't know which one to stock. I think we wouldn't take that strategy. We wouldn't create confusion."

You know what i really hate? Fanboys. To me, it's a games console. It plays games. That's all the **** it's therefore. Arguing about which is better is like arguing about whos imaginary friend would win in a fight. And the people who make the games don't give a damn about you, as long as you give 'em cash. Try not to forge that.

If I were to buy any of the new systems I'd buy the Wii. But I doubt I'll really have the money (or want to spend it) on a brand new system. I'll do what I did with Gamecube and Playstation 2, wait till the price goes down.
As for Xbox 360, I haven't even taken that into consideration. Xbox never interested me at all, and 360 isn't doing a very good job either.

I'm getting the Wii because of all the great games for it and just because it's cool. Not to mention the price should be alot cheaper than the PS3 and Xbox 360. The PS3 just isn't appealing. Final Fantasy XIII won't even change my mind and a Final Fantasy VII remake would just be a turnoff, lol.

I completly agree with you Mangaguy. The wii (which is a lame name...REVOLUTION!!) is the way to go. It has a different concept for the controller where you are in the game basically. and Super Smash Bros Brawl is comming out also. There are so many things i could say about it. And how good it it is but there is no need. It speaks for itself. lol. But the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are both very good systems too! They just cost a LOAD of $(ps3 700$ and xbox 360 500$.But they all have lots of good features. So ya i would buy the Rev 1st, the ps3 2nd and the xbox 360 3rd. :D :D

Oh yeah. I heard that the Wii was small but compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3, damn it's tiny! O_O The Wii is no bigger then a DVD player (the DVD players for the car). So tiny. I'm sure size doesn't matter! ^_^

the ps3, all the way. it may cost close to $500 or $600, but we had one brought to our school for a demo on the graphics and its programing and blah blah blah, but they had this thing playing on a giant over head screen in the front of the auditorium (sp?) and i thought it was a video of london, when actually it was what the graphics in the ps3 will look like. it was amazing...

I'll be picking up a Nintendo Revolution first and I will probably wait for a price drop in the X-Box 360 and PS3 before I buy them. Nintendo rocks it was here first and still the best all the games are fun people can say their stupid and for kids but the gameplay is over graphics anyday!

i think i'll buy a Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
since it's so much cheaper and there'll be some great party-games for it.
Besides having a motion sensor in the controller means my gf can finally move her controller with the game and have effect with it.
She might even win.....
But the ps3 will (probably) have so much more anime/manga related games coming for it.....though there's a Naruto game coming for the X360..
I'll wait till the end of this year and then decide!
