humm... I need to know more infomation...

1.) what kind of image you want to resize? Is it a scan in image, import image or your digital ink image in MS?

2.) If it is import, what is the original DPI of your import drawing and what kind of format. JPG, BMP, or PSD?

3.) What is the DPI on the layer of the drawing now you're working on MS? Is it on raster layer, or vector layer?

4.) do you want to scale it up, or shrink it down?

1.) I scanned it in. Yeah, so I guess you can say import.

2.) JPG.

3.) It's raster layer.

4.) Scale. 425 x 632 (Width x Length) to be exact.

I still need what DPI are you working on MS.

But...let's see:
1.) try scanned it in as least 600 dpi if it is your finished ink drawing, choose "Finish" as output attitude.
follow this guide here:
How to import scan page (http://www.pencilkiller.com/tutorial_import.html#scan)

Or if it is only a pencil drawing and you will ink it in MS, you can scan in @ 150DPI and choose sketch option.

2.) Try scan it in at least 600 dpi for your JPG image.

3. I would recommand 1200 dpi for raster layer, but 600 still ok.

4.) is your original image bigger than 425 x 632? If it is small than 425 x632, the quality will be loss, unless you scan it in better DPI.

I drew it and imported it, but I already finished toning it and everything. Can I still change it's size?

Are you manually tone? If YES, you can't change it's size without the moire pattern occurs.

IF you drew it and imported it, but toning it in MS, yes, you can resize it without problem.:) Just select all the layer, "ctrl a", then press "ctrl t", the transfrom menu should pop up, you can key in the size you need to resize there. Please note, depends on how many layers you have, and have fast you computer is, it may take more than 10 mins for the render. If your computer is not powerful enough, you should turn off other programs before you do the scaling.;)

425px ? 425 mm?

The best way to do it is custom make your own templet.

Open a new page, set your trim size as 425 x 632
Then import your image and manally scale it down to inside the trim. ^_^

I think he wants to make it conform to the size requirements for submitting online manga here on Tokyopop.

So if I have a comic already done @ 1200dpi, is there a quick and easy way to have the whole comic be 425 x 632 pixels @ 72dpi?

It will take a while to resize each and every page...

hahah, now I see...never try that online manga submitting before...:p

When export the image, choose export with pixel specification option:

It won't allow me to input 425 x 632. It's constraining properties! Everytime I try to put 425 and 632, it won't allow me to keep it. Instead, it's 425 x 602 pixels.

just curious...why it must be 425 x 632...? Is the manga reader did not allow to upload if the size is not that precise?

And yes, when you export, it will be constaining to the size by % ratio. So that means your original is not proportion to 425 x 632....but like I said, if you follow the mech guide, it should be 426 x 634...which is only 1-2 px off.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:

Ok, I try it...that upload thingy is so tarded!!

The best thing to do is export it, and then use photoshop to crop it at 425 x 632.

Can anyone telling me why it must be 425 x 632???? And it not even work with 1 pixel off?

Just curious.... does it have to be 425 x 632 or could it be smaller?

Hopefully someone can clear this up, especially since tokyopop sponsors manga studio, they must know the best way to do this :)

>.< Ah who cares. I already used Photoshop but the graphics are crappy.
