About 2 years ago I started to buy Anime titles that I really liked..

I bought a couple of titles that were imported through large online retailers but most of what I've bought were boxed sets that were redubed in the US or Canada.. for US viewing..

I've watched the Sailor moon made for US viewing then I found out that there are uncut versions, which I prefer..

So, now the question is are the products dubbed and imported for sale different then the made for US viewing in all cases or only some cases..

How do you find out if you can get them in 16:9 when all the US versions are 4:3...

I have "Witch Hunter Robin" thats imported and legal but it's 4:3 but now I see a new version of it supposedly being released in Oct that supposed to be in 16:9, how do I find out if thats true.. I'd also like to know if there's an unedited ver of that title or for that matter all the titles..

In almost every case I've found watching the sub'd japanese ver to be better then the made for US Dub'd ver...

Thanks for any help or replies

4:3 or 16:9. Does this mean widescreen vs. fullscreen? I'm not sure what this means. I have Witch Hunter Robin, too. I got it maybe 6 months ago from amazon or best buy online. Can't remember which. (I was actually thinking of starting a thread for Witch Hunter Robin). If there is going to be a different version that will have more to it, I may have to buy it again and I think I paid $100 or more for the copy I have.

Yes that those numbers are about screen size wide screen vs normal tv...

If I knew that Witch Hunter Robin would be truly wide screen like the ad was showing I'd buy that ver too...as it was listed for 34.00 us... I bought the imported ver of WHR but it just meant that it all came on 3 disc's intead of 8... and it was over compressed ;(

I guess I asked too many questions in one post LOL
