There is the basic box inside the inside box, the basic box being the trim area.

However, when I am importing an image from my scanner, my images do not fit inside the specifications as snugly as I'd like them to( considering this is the standard size and the page is 8.5*11). To make them fit accordingly, I'd have to make the overall image longer or wider and the whole thing is mussing my brain.

Does it matter if, when printed, the image is over the lines of the bleed area? Would TP care? Even if the desired image was in the trim box?
( ex: the picture is pushed a bit more left over the line, but the wanted image is inside the trim box)
( sry if this is confusing)

If you follow the mech guide from TP website, it shouldn't happen. When you scale it down with keep aspect ratio turn on, the page should fit in the boxes, with no longer or shorter happen.

When print, if the line/image is over the lines of the bleed area, it will be trim, and it won't show on your final pages. So make sure all desired image is in within the trim box. (it's more likely TP won't know the picuture is pushed a bit to the left, since they're not reading your original. ^_^)

*Make sure your templet for your inking page is correct.*

I want to get rid of this problem, instead of just going around it, and I have pictures now for clarification! Whee!

Settings using TP 1.5XStandard Size on 8.5X11 size paper.

The scanned image.

The scanned image on the paper. That much shouldn't be cut off right? So much from the top and bottom, and so much cut off on the sides.

Please help. Thank you. ( Sorry if the pictures are too big)

I see the size problem from your original pencil sketch.

Your original pencil sketch is 1700px x 2195px @ 200dpi, which is 8.5 x 10.975 inches.

8.5 x 10.975 inches is not proportional to the TP Template size. You need draw the pencil sketch at the TP size from the start.

Here is what I do:
