Rotating Tones?

I must be really new at this, because this seems like it would be simple. Anyways, I want a gradiation going from black down to white, but the only tones available go sideways or upwards. Is there any way I can change this? The tones are locked, I'm not sure what to do!

you can change it this way:

In the angle area, you can add 180 for opposit direction. If it is 90, change it to 270 should be the way you want.:)
