The story is really touching, but it's a light read. The writing style (or the way it was translated, maybe?) doesn't make it anything spectacular. But like I said, it's a great story. It almost made me cry at some parts. Almost. Okei, maybe I cried just a little...

Sweet story. Manga didn't really catch my eye, but I read the novel. Stories where one of the main characters is dead from the beginning rock. ;)

the manga is good. i have the novel version too but havn't got time to read it because i didn't finish reading all the books i checked out at the library but my friend that borrow my book said its kinda different from the manga one.

I've seen the Japanese drama of Socrates in Love and it was soooooo sad, it made me want to cry. I've never read the manga or the novel.

I've only read the 4-5 page preview of it in the back of one of my manga, and I've been wanting to read it except I haven't seen it at my Borders :p! (Maybe it's time for a special order...... :D)
