JonBenet Ramsey's killer is found

After 10 years a US man was arrested in Thailand and is being held in connection with the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. For those of you who don't know, JonBenet was the six year old beauty queen who was found sexually assulted and strangled to death in her own basement. The suspect is a 41 year old elementry school teacher who was first arrested for unrelated sex charges. I kind of feel sorry for the parents, I mean for 10 years they've been mocked, harassed, and have been told countless of times that they killed their own daughter. It's just to bad JonBenet's mother, Patsy Ramsey who died from cancer 2 months earlier couldn't be alive for this.

I haven't heard anything about this (I should check on the news more often) but hearing that the parents were suspects for their own daughters murder sure does suck! It's a really f***ed up life out there... *shakes head*

I use to think he was, but now after seeing a report about it on Primetime, I'm beginning to doubt that John Mark Karr killed JohnBenet as well. Like Hiaku said before, Karr is pretty strange, is a pedophile, and also has a morbid obsession with the Ramsey case. Also his ex wife told authorities that Karr was in Alabama on Christmas night of 1996 (the night JohnBenet was murdered). Karr's wife has no reason to lie since she divorced him because of his pedophilia and was concerned for her own children's well-being. He also claimed the he loved JohnBenet and new her but the Ramsey's claim they never even heard of this guy before. I was so glad to here that they caught the guy, but now I'm beginning to think this is just some weirdo trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.

That's no excus. He could have gotten out of Thailand any time he wanted to since he's a US citizen.

He was arrested on charges of assault but was never sent to jail. He had no reason to confess, he wasn't even a suspect in the case. If he's inoccent, I don't know why he'd confess to such a thing because if found guilty he could be sentenced to life in prison.

I think he may be a compulsive confession maker. Once the DNA testing has been done, then we'll all know for sure.

There are better ways to become famous, but you get some really crazy people out there that will take it any way they can get it. He may have been confessing in order to get thrown in jail. Maybe he was trying to get himself out of the public in order to keep himself from trying to molest more children, since he's molested kids before.

the great part i find about this is how much the media worked up the whole situation only to have it fizzle the hell out.

Ya, my mom told me this morning. I kind of wanted him to be the killer though. I'd really hate to think it was the parents who did it.

Not even after 10 years? That's pretty bad. Especially since the killer broke into the basement. There are no finger prints or DNA samples lying around?

Where did they find the DNA samples?

I mean, you have to remember, the parents DO live in the house and probably go to basement so, I'm guessing there's bound to be some of their DNA around. I'm not saying they didn't do it though. I have no clue. Where was the DNA found?

the male DNA sample was found in her underwear mixed around with her own blood.
that's why the DNA aspect is so vital to the case.
if Karr did what he claimed to have done, it would have been his "sample" and not someone else's in there.

I know by now that it's not Karr, but he said he was there when it happened. If he wasn't lying, then why can't the detectives force him to tell them who the real killer is?

I just can't understand why he'd lie about such a thing. I know he probably wanted attention but c'mon! To spend the rest of life in prison just to get 15 minutes of fame is going a little too far. Anyways, from what I heard so far, I don't think Karr did it. It just doesn't match up.

They released him, so for now he's a free man.

There's been more stuff coming out in the news that he was most definately going to spend some jail time over in Thailand. The jails over there are really abusive, so I think he saw it as a way to be extradited over to the US. Once he's over here, it'd literally take an act of God to get him sent back over there. I wish that he could have been jailed for lying to the police, both over in Thailand & over here. Unfortunately he has that insanity voucher, so if he plays like a good boy, he might get away with minimal jail time, and lots of supervision. I think he should be locked up in a mental institution, if they can't jail him. I feel like he is a threat against humanity in general, but small humanity in particular. (the kiddos)
