TOKYOPOP and UClick + GoComics have launched the first manga viewer for cell phones. As of 8.16.06, it's available on Sprint and Verizon.

For information on how to try or buy the Viewer, go to the Mobile (http://www.tokyopop.com/204.html) page on the TOKYOPOP Web site.

Check out the press release (http://www.tokyopop.com/29.html) for more information.

Let us know what you think about the idea of reading manga on your phone. Better yet, give it a try. Many of us have been pleasantly surprised by the reading experience on the latest generation of handsets.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I'm a TOKYOPop member from the Philippines and as much as I wanted to subscribe to your mobile manga service on my phone I have 2 issues:

1. I have an ASUS V75 mobile fone, and from the looks of things these mobile phones aren't supported.
2. I'm from the Philippines so basically there's NO WAY i'd have Verizon. So subscribing to the service is impossible.
3. I was opting you'd make it into a downloadable Java app so it could be installed to low-end mobile phones, but I'm seeing this isn't available yet.

Neways hope to see future support for your mobile manga to other countries. Thanks and good luck!!

Though it’s presently only available in the US - more regions should be added by the end of the year!
Don't give up on it yet!

will the answer to this bloodshednightfall fellow's haunting of the mobile manga threads be reviled? will merrygoround post here like in the other threads that bloodshed has posted? will they realize their undeniable love connection and learn and help each other grow? will fail clome be a fail? all this and more, coming up on this season of the n00b, the clome, and the veterans of tpf. Now for a word from our sponsors...
