This novel was wonderful. Yes it was of a high level and quite confusing when they were debating human evolution but past all that I believe it was quite good. (The ending was great. The way Oshii-san made you think something else was going to happen but instead it was another thing that happened...)

Did you read BLOOD the Last Vampire in Japanese, or in English? I didn't realize it was licensed in the US?

i got the book before i saw the movie, and i think that it made me enjoy the movie even more. i thought it was a really good book, not confusing at all.lol (p.s. i read the english translation)

Only about 100 pages into this one but I love the politics involved the story. I know it's supposed to be a horror story and am looking forward to that part but I'm a sucker for politics even if it is just following around lowly student protesters, the less glamorous side of it. That makes it even better for me.
