I love this game, in fact, I've been playing it a lot recently. I started a two games, one with Claude and one with Rena, just so I can get all the private actions and have a different POV like when Claude goes on the Calnus again and when Rena is talking with Narl alone. Aside from that, I love the storyline, the picking the innocent peoples pockets of their contents, the over 80+ possible endings and mermorable characters (like Ashton Anchors!) the music is done by Motoi Sakuraba, the man behind Valkyrie Profile's OST. So, what did everyone else think of the game?

I haven't beat this one yet.:o I'm at the very end with Rena but haven't gone back yet to beat it. I love the music in this game. I heard there was another game that came out about the characters but it didn't come out in the US. I beat the third game but sadly not this one... BUT I'll get to it.:D
I like games with sprites in them because no matter how old they are (like Chrono Trigger) they still look good it's not the same for 3D though cause it's always changing.
I like combining the food to make meals for them but if I haven't eaten it makes me really hungry(except the bad food*feels queazy just thinking about it*).
I'll have to do some looking to find the first game, haven't played it but I really want to. One thing that attracted me to this series was that depending on what you say to people it affects your relationship with them and also actually being able to move around in battles instead of just standing in one place assigning actions. Anything that makes battles more exciting is great in an RPG.

Great game and the anime based of it rocked as well. Ashton is just the funniest thing ever with his barrel obsession.

It's a shame this thread isn't longer... Star Ocean was a cool game. I agree that Ashton's barrel obsession was hilarious. My favorite characters tended to be Leon and Noel though. Haha, and their names are anagrams! ^^ I didn't like that they pronounced Noel's name NOLE though, and I refused to say it as such. I know the name exists, but so does Noel, and I like that pronunciation SO much better. It's actually one of my favorite names. ^^
I liked the 10 wise men, too. They were fun, and especially if you read the fanfiction.
