just wondering: how much is an anime T-shirt sold approximately (in the US)?

just recently...I saw a Sgt. Frog T-shirt, and a One Piece T-shirt, and a NANA T-shirt (it said "Vyvlenne Westwood") each for about ...what would be about US$7.00.

$7 for an anime shirt is pretty good. i have quite a few and i paid between $15 and $25 for most of them.

For your sake I hope they're not bootlegs or homemade [unless you're in the market for that... They dont last very long fyi]. Like alucard666 said, American liscensed shirts wil never be found in singe digits unless they were clearence or freebies *hugs Saiyuki tee ^_^*. Nana hasnt had any merchandise out yet- so its either fake or import. Check the tag- should have the liscensing info on it. If its a Cospa brand, it should be above $20-35ish. If it looks good and fair, BUYBUYBUY!! And let us know where to go- I'd probably skip on the misspelled vivinne since its a real brand and that just looks ghetto <_<;;

...I think they're homemade. It's in this boutique nearby where I'm staying in Taiwan. Taiwan has a lot of cheap anime stuff.

Luna P: Vivinne Westwood is a real brand? Did NANA spin off it by making Vyvlvenne Westwood? (I don't know if I'm even spelling it correctly...)

Licensing issues with Vivienne Westwood and NANA. I'm sure they didn't want to have to pay to use the name, so they just changed a letter so it looked the same if you weren't paying too much attention. :P Anyone... make that most, people would know what the brand is supposed to be named.

My friend made a shirt with Spike Spiegel with a Scarface bacground(you know the one with the black and white) and in red it says Cowboy Bebop.

Back to the topic: I've never seen an anime shirt besides the ones with Yugioh and Pokemon on them at Walmart/Kamart O_o

Well, there's this popular anime store I always go to that also sells anime apparel. So I bought only 1 T-shirt of Paranoia Agent. Not all the T-Shirts looked nice. >_>

I would have bought this Inuyasha t-shirt I saw a Gabriel Brother's if it weren't for it being WAY to big on me! It was only $4 too :(......

Hot Topic sometimes have anime shirts but I don't know how much they cost. My friend bought me a Kuroneko (from Trigun) shirt and a FLCL shirt. I love 'em both =^-^=

^ I thought so...Unfortunately anime shirts aren't always there. My Kuroneko shirt went into the washer when it's suppose to hand-washed so it's a little messed up cause Kuroneko has a velvety kind of material on him but it's still wearble and the messed up parts are hardly noticable. My mom felt bad and wanted to buy another one for me even though I kept telling her it's fine.

I figured as much. They had Sesshomaru plushies but when I went back to buy it for my friend, it wasn't there :mad: At least I got that somewhere else. I will never again see another Kuroneko shirt...Oh well, I still like mine! =^-^=

Yuppers- Vivienne is a true to life label. She's led and founded led the punk look since the 70's and had the to Sex pistols spread her style.
Her main site (http://www.viviennewestwood.com) [warning- flash dependant!] & lots of info bout her influence here. (http://www.fashionencyclopedia.com/Vi-Z/Westwood-Vivienne.html)
I didnt know about the brand before Nana, so you're not alone :) 1st time exposure was in an old issue of Kera comparing Ai yazawa's illustrations with actual Vivienne products. It crazy expensive too o_o;;

Some of the older anime tees look cheesy or super flashy in a bad way, though i really like the kuroneko tees since they're simple and cute. Only stuff i own is the gravitation tank top, Saiyuki dvd tee, and oh my goddess baby tee.
Himura_77: super cheap! you should have bought it anyways and either altered it youself or made something new out of it- $4 is never too much for anime merch.

Yeah, I was with my cousin and aunt, and didn't have my money with me :(. It was close to my birthday and she still had a little money to spend on me from what I heard through my cousin, but I decided the shirt at the time was simply too large and it would have been rude to ask her about spending the money on it.

I know, they're a freakin'y ripoff. $20 for a shirt? I don't think so Hot Topic.

There's a Chinese mall about 20 minutes from where I live that sell anime t-shirts for about 10 dollars each. That's a pretty good deal considering they cost an average of 25 to 30 dollors at most conventions.
