In what way? Simply resolution, animation, or style?
You could also offer up your own...

I really like the way Samuri Champloo is done, same for Ghost in the Shell.

yeah, I second GitS, it really was mind-blowing even though I hate sci-fi

If we're going for quality animation, I'd say Gantz, Ghost in the Shell, and Last Exile.

Honey and Clover was amazingly well drawn.
I like how the Japanese DVD cover arts are for this show. Very dreamy.

Its a wonderful show. Highly recommended. I wish it would be liscensed, we need more "grown-up" shows that aren't boobiefests.

Joy! :P
It has the most unique opening sequence ever. Everyone should be subjected to it multiple times. :P

I was very impressed with the ones that made Cowboy Bebop, Witch Hunter Robin, and Wolf's Rain. Ghost in the Shell is great too!

do u guys want to know which anime haves the best graphics......???? Well that would be FFVII: Advend Children. The CG for that stuff is crazy. The characters actually look real in some part of the movie. But the best part is the hair. Cloud's hair looks real. I recommend you guys to watch that movie and compare it to all the other anime you seen and which anime has the best graphics.

Advent Children was nice, but it isn't as nice as Kashimashi or Honey and Clover. There's something distracting about it that I can't quite explain....

The mix of normal and 3D animation in Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence totally blew me away! infact, the first GitS did too... Blood The last Vampire is really nice too, as for completley hand drawn anime, i'd have to say Ninja Scroll.

I really like the style of both Samurai Champloo, it lends itself to the fight scenes very well and I have seen very few peices of animation quite as tripy as the episode with the Monks, and the fight in the feild of Burning Opium, very trippy. I also really enjoy the art style in Trigun, it just fits with the rest of the show, some anime wouldnt work right with neat and clear animation, beacuse while some anime needs a nice clean and light toned art style, like most romance shows, some of the more action oriented animes need a grittier, more shambolic art style.
And is Advents Children Anime? Yes it is a very good movie, and yes it is animated, but its not styled as an anime. I don't think that it qualifies as an anime simply because Squeenix is in Japan, and is it qualifies as Anime because its animated, then what about Shrek, and Finding Nemo?
I know that in japan all animated features, be they shows or movies or adds on tv are anime, but in the majority of the english speaking world anime refers to a specific style of animation, and Advents Children, while still a great movie, does not fill the Anime boots.

I think that Samurai Champloo was animated excellently and Wolf's Rain was great especially considering how hard animals are to do in animation.

Macross Zero man. Crazy 3D-ish Robots shooting 30 missles at an U.N. Interceptor that is desperately trying to evade it by firing off several flares. So many bright colors.

I liked Loveless,
though that may not really be what you are looking for in an answer.
But the question wasn't very specific xP.

If we're not talking about anime movies here, then I'd have to say Kamichu! would get my vote for some absolutely amazing graphics. None of the characters were beautiful, and all of the landscapes were normal, but the sheer prowess of the animators and the wonderful colour-schemes really shone through. Lovely.

I'd have to say Samurai Champloo, because it was the first anime that I sat there watching and said to myself then my sister- this is good, the art flows with the entire episode, whats going on in the back ground, the plot. But I like samurai 7 to, just not as much.

I can't believe no one mentioned Mushishi! Honey and clover as well, of course. I also loved texhnolyze's animation.

I thought Akira had absolutely amazing graphics for it's time but my favourites would have to be X/1999: The Movie, though the story itself wasn't that great and Metropolis.
