SQUEE! Otakon is in Baltimore this year! (actually i think it's in Baltimore every year :3) But i can't wait to go to this! The anime, the manga, the cosplay (but not the yaoi ones) *jumps up and down* i can't stand it any more!!! This is my first Con ever, i just hope it's not too overwhelming. Anyone else going to Otakon 2006?

I went to Otakon last year and heard about L'Arc being there the year before that... I didn't even hear about it in 2004! Where was the publicity?! *cries more* I wanna see them live. I'm a total geek-fan of theirs. ;_;

Anyway, back on topic, I will try to be there this year. I had too much fun in 2005 there. Really awesome convention, they're organised so well! Puts Anime-Expo to shame hundreds of times over! (Been to the last 4 AX conventions).

Apparently I'll be cosplaying as a spatula or any other random idea my friend's bf thinks of, just so he reads the first Gravi chapter (he's a homophobe and I'm trying to break that XD)

I've been to Otakon the past two years and I do so look forward to going again this year ^^ I'm still reallllllly saddened by the fact that I hadn't heard of L'Arc at the time and I was a tad overwhelmed as it was my first con(start big!) so I missed the concert in '04 T.T The rave they added last year was wicked awesome. To hear stuff like SAC music mixed with techno/trance was just so effin awesome. Very crowded though haha

2006 will be my third year. Booked my hotel as soon as I got home in 2005. My mother's kinda lazy, so even though we live 20 minutes from downtown, she gets me a hotel room anyway.

Having L'arc my first year of attending kinda spoiled me. I was really dissappointed last year when they didn't get a really big-name act. The L'arc concert was great though. Some of my friends got bored and left to go hang out in the dealer's room. My best friend and I stayed though, and a few minutes after the others left, Hyde started speaking Engrish. His Engrish was the highlight of the whole convention, in my opinion.

Oh man, my friends and I have been planning this for our senior trip ince the summer before junior year! Yeah, I'm so excited. I'm planning for my cosplays:

Tamahome from Fushigi Yugi, which is all ready to go.
Slade from Teen Titans, which just needs finishing touches.
Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible, who is just hardcore and deserves a showing at a big Anime convention, even though he's not really anime, he's close enough. I haven't even started on that one yet! Man, It's going to be so AWESOME! ::giggles like a school girl:: I just wish they'd get someone like BoA, or Utada Hikaru, or X Japan... Yes, I know hide's dead, but I can still dream can't I?

Last year was my first year, and i still cringe this day thinking that i missed out not only on L'Arc but TM Revolution, also. But it got better once i got things to deck out my room with.... this year, Fate Stay figures!

Yes! This August I will be venturing to Baltimore for the second year now. And this time around I'm bringing by buddy, Steve! He used to be one of the "ewww anime lame gimme a football" types....but I converted him. Mwhahahaha!

But I have to save up money...This month I probably wont be saving up anything from gas money to insurance and manga and of course KINGDOM HEARTS 2 at the end of the month <3

My parents were concerened of the idea of the con from my descriptions, and they went with me, well my mom, and they had a great time. My friend took her mom last year and she's going again.

Security is pretty nice, people are usually nice.

My best friends mom went with her to see if she would be safe and all that the first year for her too, and she wanted to go back, but for one day, as do my parents, but they dont wanna go all three days.

So even people who dont understand what is going on can have lots of fun. (My cousin who goes with me every year knows less then i do and i dont konw that much but we love it so). (HAHA, we'll be the ones sitting on the floor somewhere running up to you taking your pictures, probably a group of all girls, one doing her homework---drawing people).

I'll be there too, only two more weeks, Good luck everyone on getting there! (I'm flying, scary).

Yeah -- Baltimore is way scary to be in at night. I live here in Maryland, and you seriously cannot go a day without hearing about two or three murders that occured the day before when you watch the news. It's depressing, really.

At that -- anywhere that ISN'T around where the convention center is is kind of ... trashy. The inner harbor where the con center is located is pretty much the only nice part of Baltimore.

I was reading the August issue of Anime Insider and I saw the pic of the visual band "Mucc" and it got me really excited but I don't see when it's going to start on what day. Also going to be cosplaying, a little browsing at the dealer's room, and other fun activities in store.

Have any of you guys been to the Oni-Con? Man the air conditioning really sucks over there. Everything felt like it was inside a oven.

By the way FishiesGOPook, I like your outfit especially with the torn out pance or skirt. Sexy! ;)

Getting an autograph is only a step above being in the same room as him. A couple of people got to shake his hand and hug him. Unfortunately due to time constraints nobody was allowed to touch him anymore. *sigh* I wanted a hug from Yoshiki. Oh and at his panel a girl got a kiss from him.

Aww! You guys who go to anime Conventions are so lucky..I don't have the money to make/Order the costumes,plus I have to save my money to go to Orlando florida next spring on a choir trip..*Sighs* I would love to go to one though..Ah!
