Ohh, I must say the best yaoi out there is Wild Rock, Viewfinder series, Alone in My King's Harem, Love Master doujinshi too. I actually have a bunch on my computer. Uh...in terms of shounen ai, Eerie Queerie, Beyond My Touch, etc.

I know I'm prolly in the wrong section, cause this is all manga [i don't know if they are anime] but I thought I'd chip in. Funny thing though, I couldn't get into Gravitation. Something about that manga turns me off completely. I've read the first volume like five times and I couldn't force myself to go beyond it.

As for animated yaoi ... the Gravitation anime isn't as smutty as the manga, but it still manages to be good (plus music!).
"Papa to Kiss in the Dark" is a good yaoi anime. Try looking for it on youtube. ;D

Coincidentally, Hiruma Youichi and Kurita Ryukan are looking for a fast running back for their American Football team (Amefuto) and want to put Sena in the team. That's pretty much my take on things. The most important thing for a shota fan to do is to be able to draw the line between drawn and... well... *cringes* that... other side... I've traced my liking of it to the innocence of the boys, since I still have quite a bit myself, and could relate a bit to what they'd be feeling.

i have to say *thinks* when Yuki wrote a song for the other group (cant think of name) and shuichi just found out on the TV and runs off to his house, i think that was in it i watched around 10 different animes yesterday after that, so my memory is not all there. i do like it better then the anime series that you can get in this country, but i like the manga best of all. now i did watch the OVA version with out watching the rest of the regular TV Gravitation (only have disks 1 & 2) *cries*.

oh and the OVA version i seen over the net, i found this site that had it on it and it was the full video, cutt in two, but it was all there.

Ahh, AnK, yes, a true classic. Truthfully, I'm surprised that nobody's picked up the anime or novels for this yet, although if I were to summise why, it may have to do with it also being a classic in Japan, and thereby demanding a classic price. It's still quite a nice story to me, though, even if I do think Riki is a little too cocky...

Hana Kimi is one of my favorites. Only one of the characters is gay but he's really hott and when they showed memories of him and his boyfriend...It was more fun than I thought it would be. Still sad that he's gay though.

Yaoi Press publishes "western" yaoi or OEL yaoi or whatever you want to call manga-style graphic novels created by non-Asians. It has a wide selection of fantasy-based yaoi but Saihôshi the Guardian is the only one that I have read.

Netcomics publishes Korean manhwa. They have the first chapter of each manhwa online for free. You can read Boy Princess volume 1 chapter 1 at this page http://www.netcomics.com/comic/boyprincess.htm and decide for yourself if you like it.

I have seen DMP's Sweet Revolution at Borders, Barnes and Noble, and Books A Million. (I don't have a local Waldens, so I can't say if DMP books are available there, but I suspect they are.) I have not seen any of Netcomics books (Boy Princess) at Barnes and Nobles, only at Borders and Books A Million. The Yaoi Press books (Saihôshi the Guardian) I have only seen at specialty comic / anime shops, not at any of the major retail chains. (This is true for my area. Your local bookstores might be different, of course.)

However, all the books are also available online through Amazon. So if you can't find them locally, you can get them there.

Thanks for the info! We don't have a Walden's or Books a Million here where I live, but we do have Barnes and Noble and Borders. I HAVE noticed that Borders has a better, more variable section of manga, though. If I can't find them there, I will just get them from amazon. We have a coupla mom and pop places, but I doubt they would carry the stuff. The yaoi may be in the gay book shop my friend was telling me about, she said they have been carrying manga lately; WHOOT! So I can check there, too. ^^

I've been watching ALOT of yaoi in the past few days.
1 Sensitive Pornograph *Screams like the fan-girl she is* OH I LOVE this one. Oh so good. I could go on end talking about this one. Love it to death.
2 Papa to Kiss in the Dark *screams once again* I LOVE this one too. The story is very sweet and diffrent can't forget that. I still love this yaoi to death.
3 Level C yep another yaoi I love. It's lacking in some departments but the story is sweet and I still like it.
4 Kizuna can't say much cause my mom can home when I was watching the begining of it so yeah had to turn it off before I go in trouble.
So here is my list for now. All good yaoi in my opinion.

ah yaoi who can say where their addiction started... apart from i know. i've loved it ever since Gravitation, mostly cos i fell in love with Yuki. So now i don't really mind it. Can't say i care too much for Kizuna, i found it really boring. but PaPa to kiss in the dark and Level C was so funny and really sweet. I'v just finished reading Gravitation Remix cos someone recommended it... was a bit shocked by the graphic-ness of it but it was worth it. Gakuen Heaven is a good choice for a newcomer to yaoi/shounen-ai. I would also recommend Gravitation and Sukisho. (I assume that since you posted this question in the Anime forum, you're not interested in manga recommendations.) Many yaoi/shounen-ai fans also like Descendents of Darkness although it isn't actually a shounen-ai series.
