Advent Children Coming to the USA?

I had heard that Advent Children was not coming to the USA. I downloaded itto watch it and teh language was in Japanese with English subtitles, which made it hard to follow.Anyone know if it is coming and when?

Well its coming out alright when?? If you go to a store and its you see it there well its out jajajaja (they keep changing the release date so its hard to tell an exact date) Anyway I think is next month

From what I've heard, it's being released April 25th. I'm debating whether to get or not; never played any of the Final Fantasy games, but Advent Children looks really awesome.

Amazon.com lists its release date as April 26 2006 from Sony Pictures. I'm not sure if any english voice casting/dubbing has been done. I'm really not terribly concerned since the Japanese track is so wonderful. :P

It annoyed me before, with how they were saying "Same day release for Advent Children in the US and Japan! =D". Then they acted like they never said that.

From what I know, it's not only arriving stateside-- it's arriving with Mena Suvari as Aerith(again).

The movie is great. The same voice actor from the movie will play the role of final fantasy characters in kingdom hearts II. i would know, i saw the scene with cloud and sephiroth fight in Kingdom hearts II. Sqaure Enix is planning to use the graphics in FFVII: AC to recreate FFVII for ps3. The game and battle system is still the same but with a few more secrets and a whole lot better graphics.

Otherwise, it hits stores in the US as well on April 26th. This is the official release date given by both Sony and Square. All other dates were not official. They were never given by either companies.

So many people who are in the dub cast are in the Naruto dub. Dave Wittenburg and Steve Staley are two of my favorite VAs hehe I just like their voices. Steve Blum, Liam O'Brian, Crispin Freeman and Beau Billinglea are cool too hehe and I like Steve Burton from General Hospital so I think the dub looks like it's going to be great. I don't think I'll buy it though, hopfully I'll be able to rent it...

And I can imagine that "Zuru zuru" line would be a difficult concept to translate. Isn't that an idiom? I don't think there's really a match in English.

Well I think the copy I downloaded that the language tracks were not quite with the movie.... mouths were moving when music was playing, several minutes after the voice tracks stopped.

So honestly, I could not really tell which of the subtitles applied where, because they also stopped long before mouths and Japanese voice stopped.

I look forward to renting it, not sure it will be one I buy as I was sort of disappointed by Spirits Within. If i like it then I might buy it.

Well, I must say that I disagree completely. A lot of advances in technology have happened since Spirits Within, and I think it shows. The detail level in Advent Children is absolutely amazing, right down to the zipper and weave of Cloud's clothing. Definitely some of the best animation that I've seen in a long time, and the soundtrack is goregous as well. I'm excited to have it finally hit the States (and everywhere else, for that matter). I've been seeing ads for it for a while now saying "Coming Soon," conveniently lacking an actual date, and after the horrible wait and multiple push-backs just to get the Japanese version out, it's about time we finally know when we'll be seeing it. ^_^

That was supposeably one of the reasons if not the only reason why it was delayed. Choosing the voice cast might also have been another reason. It really shouldn't be delayed again. I'd be very shock to find that they would. ^_^

Saw this movie last night and really enjoyed it. I'd imagine if you never played the game, the plot would be incoherent (I found it a bit hard to follow and I HAVE played the game), but the visuals are amazing. Some of the action sequences and fights are the best I've seen in awhile, and certainly the best I've ever seen in an all-CGI movie. Plus, the FF7 characters look so cool fully rendered!

I'd highly recommend it to fans of the games. I agree, it's far better than Spirits Within.
