I realy enjoy Kare Kano, I have the japanese manga (yes its only 21 books). I realy want to know the released date of vol 20! I want to know what other people think about this manga.

Tsubasa is the most beutiful manga character I've ever seen! (personal opinion)

Also does anyone like the Dark Arima arc? I get the feeling it's a love it or hate it kind of thing. I like it because I sorta related to what Arima was feeling.

Okay, but I don't understand b/c I guessed from reading the english releases. The foreshadowing was really obvious. It would be easier to dicuss the charcters by using events from the series seeing as the charcters change throughout the series.:confused: I like that Tsuda gives a lot of backstory for the supporting cast and I can't wait to see Asaba's.

Asaba's story have a nice surprise for you at the end. And yes I know you can tell whats going to happen but with Asaba you will never know! (only if you go to super spoiler article on Wikipedia wich I dont recomend)

I actually think it was quite cute. Even if the whole stepsiblings thing is getting a little cliche but it's in Kare Kano they did it well. I really liked that arc.

I loved the dark Arima arc. That's what I like about Kare Kano...it's not exactly what you expect and takes the characters to some different places. Although, I wasn't thrilled with the whole step-sibling thing. I kinda saw that one coming as I was reading. But, the real reason I kept reading was Arima. It's all about Arima!

Kare Kano has been a favorite of mine for over 3 years. I have nearly all the jp books and all of the us books. ;_____; I got into it when I first met my girlfriend of 3 years and as you can see...it's near and dear to my heart (we read it together also.) I've loved it so far. I'm so happy to see that arima has a father and that the bitch of a mother got what she had coming to her ( a good slap in the face.) Anyway, enough of this. I thought it was getting tedious for a while there. The only thing that kept me interested between what I didn't like and arima's dad coming back was the play. I loved the play. It ruled.

I think it definitely gets better as it goes along. I wasn't really hooked until around volume 6 or 7. I started reading it based on a recommendation from a friend. Later on, I found that it got kind of addictive.

You could watch the anime and start at around vol.12 in the manga to get the rest of the story. However, I heard the Author didn't like how Gainax treated her series.

The manga has better balance of drama and comedy then the anime, which is more skewed towards comedy.

i have all the kare kano manga except volume 12, i've only read up to volume 3 though. Its such a long series, i think this is the longest "almost" complete series that i have. After volume 3, it kindda got boring for me... (Don't flame me... T_T) oh well, i guess, when i don't have much to do. i'll end up reading it one day.

not only was it a terrible ending but they left out a major part to the story

Be ready cause the second half of the series has a darker tone then the first half. Most people love it or hate it.
