Ok, since I am setting up everything for my team on our new manga (it's still untitled XD) I really need to have all the demensions right for the RSOM contest. I don't draw directly into Manga Studio so I sketch things out in my pad first. How do I set up the boundaries on my sketch pad page (dimensions)? Also, I am using the pencilkiller.com tuts to set up the demensions for the acutal page, but are those right? sorry I have alot of experience as far as art goes but I do more cover art things and CG'd pics. Not so used to the manga programs and not to be rude er anything, but this is the most popular program with zip good tuts that I have seen. If you know of any good tuts, that would be very helpful 2 ^_^

like you set up the pages and print it out 8 x 11 paper so there's alot of extra space?
Also, I don't understand the diffrence between the Bleed and the Trim lines in the pages

Hmm...I'm pretty sure everything on the pencilkiller site is legit. She's an RSoM veteran (made top-20 two years ago) and is currently the artist for a Tokyopop book due out sometime next year.

This thread might help with some of your questions:

And yes, there's gonna be a margin on your page when you print it out on copy paper. Don't worry about it; so long as the art is at the correct specs, it's fine.

So you draw EVERYTHING in the safe zone, and then what's the point of trim and bleed?!

Wait, I looked through the thread and they said something but I am not sure XD
They go into photoshop, make their boxes in the x1.5 dimensions and print it out, do their work in it, ink it, scan it back in, then actually create the panels? If I am correct please tell me ^_^
And what programs do u guys use for panels, cuz I used the panel creator in manga studio and it look like it made panels, then I saved it and it came out without panel ?!
I'm pretty sure the Mechanical Guidelines (http://www.tokyopop.com/news/mangatalent/mechspec5.pdf)on tokyopop website explain the bleed and trim clearly. You can re-read it and see why people use draw outside the safty zone. You can draw it within the safty zone of couse, it's matter of personal choice.

AND I'm pretty sure I've explain it here before....

Use panel ruler layer instead.

Well the ruler I thought just set it up? Do they actually make it too?
And I did read it but I didn't really understand the trim. If you know just say it XD
