 So what's the most amount of money you ever spent on an article of clothing? And by that I mean one thing, a dress, a belt, pair o' shoes, not an entire outfit.

I would have to go for $30 for a pair of Eddie Bauer jeans, since I can't remember how much that dress was, and that was only because it was the perfect green color that I had been searching for all of my life. I usually get 'em for about ten bucks. I hate spendning money on nothing more than designer labels unless I absolutely have to. Pet peeve of mine.

BTW, I'm referring mainly to something you yourself bought...not had your parents buy. *thinks of expensive things her daddy bought her* Yeah...its great being daddy's little girl. :D

I think it was 25 dollars on a pair of wallmart jeans. I'm so against spending tons of money on cloths when I can get them cheap and still look good in them.

Ha. Easily over $300 on my prom dress. Then again, I wasn't the one buying it, but still. Anyway, now it just sits in my closet. I really shouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, as for something not-so-fancy, I'd say the most expensive pants that I've ever bought were a pair of snazzy black and red pants from Hot Topic. I think they were around $50 dollars.

Really, it's not hard to find clothes that I like that are overpriced. I just have enough sense not to buy them. Usually.

$75 on a gothic one peice outfit. I had it personally made for me, that was before I knew how to sew:) It had a halter style top with lacing details up the front, and slightly flaired pants. It was made of a shinny matterial I can't remeber exactly what. and fit like a glove. I had great cleavage in that thing. Now I am not a size 5 anymore and can't wear it. I had a baby and my body won't be going back to that size any time soon.

^-^ I am very pleased with my most-amount-spent purchase, because I still use it when it's cold. I bought a bright red cloak while I was at Akon a few years ago. It was 65 dollars and it is my very favorite piece of clothing. And I'm not one for clothes, either. Usually, I get my clothes on clearance or from the thrift store. I'm a thrift store junkie. But if there's a good t-shirt in sight, look out! XD lol, I just bought two tank tops yesterday. I'm bad.

That's my philosophy in life. If the expensive clothers were that different and amazing, sure, I'd splurge. But they're...not.
I'm bad.
Yep.

Easily 300+. But it has to be special. Like my prom dresses or now ball gowns. My wedding dress was over $300 obviously but my mom paid for that one.:D

Otherwise I'm much more a bargain hunter or do it your self.

Does jewelry count too? I'm helpless when it comes to that. Good thing my family and friends know what I like.

I don't care too much about clothes so the most expensive article of clothing I bought would probably be jeans that cost $25. It bothered me to buy even that.

Oh, wait. I lied. Prom dress...But I was able to buy one for only $60! Cheaper than the ticket, shesh. I was so happy it didn't cost over a hundred dollars for a dress that I would probably only wear once.

I think the same way; why spend so much for something you're going to wear once? And so far the $25-50 category is in the lead.

The most that I have ever spent on clothing was on a leather jacket two years ago at 125, it was 50% of when I got it >.> and I love that jacket. The reason I got it was because the one before got ripped to shreds, by a door non the less T_T

But other then that I normally spend in-between 10-45 dollars on designer labels. But that jacket is the nicest thing that I have for winter.

I think I paid $90 something for my homecoming dress. It was a Chinese style dress; very pretty.
Other than that, I usually spend under $30 on pants and under $10 on shirts.
I think the cheapest shirt I got was $2. I just don't care about clothes that much. ^^;

Well, I didn't actually buy it (my mom did -.-; ), but... $30.00.

I would never spend too much on clothing.

I'm cheap. XD Winners and thrift stores for me. I think the most I've spent is 60$ for a comissioned cosplay for an upcoming con. Second is my running shoes-40$. No prom dress yet--I'm still in middle school. I'm planning to make it myself though. -coughcoughlolicough- (EDIT: This is all CDN $ ^^; )

I think I pay more for manga a month than clothes. My mom had to forcibly pack away a pair of pants that I refused to wear because they were getting short. (Me: Nobody notices that sutff! Mom: I don't care! They're too short!) I liked those pants too...they were comfortable.

my most prized piece of clothing, one of my most prized possessions really (an aum shinrikyo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aum_Shinrikyo) t-shirt,) was free.

however, most of my shirts cost somewhere between $3 to $50, jeans usually hover around $100,

i like to dress moderately sharp. guy-who-owns-6-pairs-of-shoes sharp.

and man, seeing those numbers written down makes me feel dead inside.

the most expensive things i own i didn't buy myself... either hand me downs or presents... i really don't have enough money to splurge on expensive clothes... i bought a pair of shoes for about 40 (pounds but that key doesnt work.) Any item of clothing i would buy that is more expensive than that would have to be able to tell me the future or something...
