About the show:
Twelve years after a Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked the Hidden Leaf Village of the ninjas, its spirit returns in the body of a young man named Naruto. Naruto is now 12 years-old and training to be a ninja, but is proving to be a challenging student. However, after finally passing his test, he pairs up with Sakura and Sasuke and begins to grow into a worthy ninja all while maintaining his secret.

Anyway, I used to watch and read Naruto all the time, but I've lately lost interest in it. I started to get bored with the fillers and the manga really wasn't keeping my intrest. I still read lots of Naruto fanfics though.

I've been watching Naruto since the first episode was fansubbed and released. I absolutely adore the show.

Yes, I read the scanlations... but I also buy the English release as soon as it hits the shelves. As for buying the DVDs? Who knows, I hate the dub with a passion and I can't stand to watch it. I have the Japanese releases of the games to stay away from the bad, bad voice choices they made in the English version. I don't support the dub, so I'll stick with fansubs, I guess.

I cosplay Kurenai and Nawaki. Cookies to anyone who knows who Nawaki is WITHOUT looking it up. I'm working on a chibi Gaara currently. Which I'm not really working on so something tells me I won't have it done before Anime North. Oh well.

My favorite characters are: Gaara, Naruto, Shikamaru, Hinata, Anko, and Kurenai, in that order.

I hate: Sasuke, Pre-time jump Sakura, and (recently added) Sai. (What is it with dark-haired jerks who -blank-) Sorry. That would kill the dub watchers with spoilers.

I gotta tell you. The american anime isn't that great compared to the japanese one. The manga is much better in america. Just get some japanese episodes with english subs. They are better. Oh, and you might wanna edit the first post seeing as to this is a thread and not a forum. :D Naruto rules!

I love Naruto! I like all of the characters acutally. I think they are all really interesting. I guess that's what makes it such an awesome series. I do prefer the Japanese VA's, but I think they did a decent job with the English ones. I've seen all of the episodes released in Japanese so far and I can't wait till the next ones come out!!

I'm relatively new to Naruto compared to most people - the first chapter I read was Kakashi's introduction in Shonen Jump. I'm up to chapter 256 now, though. =D It's a highly addictive series. Favorite characters so far include Sakura, Tsunade, Gaara, Jiraiya, and Kabuto.

here's a question for you. i wondered about this for some time now. i watch japanese espisodes such as naruto that haven't made it to the us yet on youtube. and i was wondering what is the hiragana,katakana that appears on the screen before every episode. i don't think it's the title since it says it at the beginning of every episode

i know in japanese there are japanese titles (san, kun, sama, etc). and i also know that japanese titles are used for good manners and in honor

san is used as an honorific title to represent the titles mr. mrs. etc.

kun is used as a honorific title to represent children, mostly males. it's not really used for females though.

sama is used as an honorific title in terms of respect.

chan is used for females, oposite of kun.

this is very brief description. but i wanted to let you know what i'm talking about

take the japanese anime naruto for instance. naruto calls sakura sakura-chan and he calls mostly everyone with a japanese title. why doesn't naruto carry out japanese titles when these guys are called out, a good example is sauske

Actually they end in febuary not march. and yeah its official the fillers will be ending soon as report in this week issue of shonen jump. the title of the series will also be changed to "Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles". sounds kinda lame and its acyually an english translation so its not the actual title but whatever. we'll know what the english title it once its on the CN.
