What are the best colors to use?

I currently working on my coplay of Lafiel from Crest of the Stars, I would like to know what would be the best colors to use on the trainee uniform(the uniform basely a body suit)? All I know what color to for such to use is red to outline the uniform. Here are some links to the uniform I'am talking about:

you want to know what color red to use? it sorta looks like burnt orange, but if you take your pictures into a fabric store, they will help you pick out fabric in the right color...

I should made my post more clearly, I was try to say I know I should use the color red in my cosplay, don't say what kind. I just want to know should I use grey or light blue for middle part of the uniform and should I use black or navy for rest of the uniform? If you look at the links you 'll understand what I'am taking about. Also I live in small town and very few fabric stores, the fabric stores don't sell the kind of fabric I need like Supplex, so I have to order fabric online.

Personally I think you should use black to a dark mdnight blue for the bodysuit and for the middle part a steel blue(or as close as you can get) would look best(and acurate). I hope that helps :)
