How do you mean? Do they translate it badly, so it doesn't make sense or something? Or do they spoil people?

I don't know but I'm getting sick of people bad mouthing companies that dub animes (like Funimation, 4Kids, etc).
I mean they try their best, and if you don't like it don't watch it. Watch the sub.

Funimation is not that bad. I thought they did an exellent job dubbing Gunslinger Girls

the plot of fullmetal is supposed to be different from the manga. if you look up the original ova and the manga in japan you'd see that.

It is not FUNI's fault
its the manga ADAPTERS.
They do a GREAT job when it comes to translating.

Funimation used to be really terrible, but AT LEAST from Fruits Basket on has been very decent. I don't see anything wrong with their translating nowadays. And that is of course all they do... translating and dubbing.

What do you mean they "ruin" the plot? In their dubs, they do not change the story drastically, nor do they do heavy editing that changes the direction of the plot(at least out of the only two series you mentioned.)
It sounds like you have a problem with the companies that adapted the series from manga to anime. That's not Funimation, though. That's BONES and whatever company did Fruits Basket. (Can't say because I can't remember.)
Besides, anything that was in one format that's translated into another format is going to be different. Look at any anime and then look at the original manga/novel it was based on and you can see a lot of differences. Just like any movie based off of a comic book/novel is going to have a lot of differences from its original. It's just something you have to get used to.

if its how they changed from japanese to english then i thought they did a brilliant job with fruits basket and with FMA and there will always be differences between anime and manga

Er you're blaming the wrong people. FUNimation just LICENSES the anime, they don't make the anime. Blame the japanese director who makes the anime.
FUNimation only licenses the anime and dubs it. Hell I love what FUNimation did with FullMetal Alchemist, Dragonball Z, Gunslinger Girls, Samurai 7, and some others. Is it their fault that they ruin the plot? No. Because they only dub the anime and bring it here to the states.
Besides, I prefer the anime version to Fullmetal Alchemist but I can't say the same for Fruit Basket (having never watched the anime or read the manga).

well that's true but if the dubbing is crap they should not even let it go out into the open

Like Kaoru said... if you don't like the dub... then watch it subbed. Other people like it dub and just because YOU dislike the dub... doesn't mean they'll stop dubbing it just for you.

See there's the problem. As far as the dubbing company knows their dub is good until they release it so there is no "not letting a dub go public 'cause it sucks".

oh no i never use the dubbing i just do jap. bu twhat i mean is that other people that can't understand it have to deal with it tho that's what i mean and i really think they should not hafta deal with the mistakes of others
