Favorite J-Pop ?

I was just wondering who all liked J-Pop and if so what do you listen to the most? Right now my favorite group is Arashi - They are a great group of guys and their music just has a nice happy go lucky feel to a lot of it.

After Arashi though I listen to :

BoA (I prefer her Japanese to her Korean music)
Utada Hikaru
Koda Kumi
M-Flo (I know they are considered Hip Hop to some)
melody.
Ryohei Yamamoto
Heartsdales (I think they are more pop myself than hip hop)
NewS (even though after March they are gonna do solo things)

Aiuchi Rina (Rina Aiuchi for those in Europe. In Asia, we put our surnames first to show that we're proud of our lineage) is the most fantastic! Not only does she do J-pop (Ruby Stars), she also does some serious J-Rock (CODE CRUSH)!

The only JPop I listen either comes from him or bands he's affiliated with (Iceman, Access, Mad Soldiers, The Seeker, T.M. Revolution (until the split of T.M.R-eTTD) etc.)

Other than that, I only listen to rock in various languages...

mono:: TWO-MIX sings practiacally all the songs from gundam wing. they sing "White Reflection", "Just Communication", "Rhythm Emotion", among others. Their CDs can be found cheap at various used CD stores (lol, I found a couple legit copies at Rasputin Records. You can find Taiwan bootlegs all over the web). I hightly suggest purchasing one of their albums, they have created many good songs over the years.

ok ok I guess it's time to post my loves.

Forever number one: B'z. I own every single one of their albums, singles and DVDs, and love to listen to them as much today as when I first discovered them. My next trip to Japan is mostly dedicated to following their 07 tour, when it's announced.

Second is Kishidan. Same case with their discography, and with listening. They're really fun to listen to, all of the members are amusing and have awesome personalities, they're cool looking, and they're not *******s to anyone. I almost went to see them for their tenth anniversary show in August but alas it was a choice between one show with them or four shows with SMAP and I chose SMAP... this time. I will definitely be there for Banpaku (a huge show they put on every year in their hometown) 2007.

Third: SMAP. SMAP SMAP SMAP. They've got no singing talent and the music is standard pop, but I love them anyway because of everything they do besides singing.

Fourth: Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ. Electric, hyper colored space warrior rock. Beautiful, happy (and sometimes angry but still happy??) music, great live energy, they love their fans and the choreography at the shows is awesome.

The sad truth of the matter: My playlist revolves around four bands/groups, with some others lightly mixed in. Along with the aforementioned four, I also listen to Arashi, Sex Machineguns, Porno Graffitti, TOKIO, V6, Fujii Takashi, Dir en grey, Gevil, Kome Kome Club (pre-original disbandment only:<< The new stuff sucks), Lareine, Malice Mizer, Raphael and Rip Slyme. And then I check out all of the new major releases just to see if I'm missing anything (which I usually am not).

I can't ****ing stand: Alice Nine, Miyavi, 12012, L'arc en ciel.

I used to really love Gackt and still have a soft spot for him every once in a while, even if I have sold off everything of his that I owned.

BTW, Morning Musume songs now are pretty bad, but I still enjoy watching their show Hello Morning (it is a pretty kiddy show in Japan but it's halarious IMO)

Correction: Two people. A rapper by the name of "Verbal" and a beat-maker,DJ,etc by the name of "Taku"

Taku is great, but I can't stand Verbal! Everything began to go down hill after the "Planet Shining" and "Tunnel Vision" albums IMO... Nowadays, his lyrics are so lame and he's been trying to imitate Kanye West's style lately too...

I liked the music video, where they were in a room with a toilet and stuff like that :P The video is very well done, if you look closely they actually slowed down the video to have special effects. Cant remember the video tho :P

I haven't been listening to any J-Pop lately either. I'm all over C-Pop: S.H.E. and especially Fahrenheit. (Is Fahrenheit the group you're talking about?)
