Anime Nicknames

Does anyone else out there like to call their friends by names of anime characters? Or is that something unique to my odd small town and my circle of friends? If you have them, post them here. Wanna know mine?

Rosiel, Jakotsu, Kakei, Kadaj, Fred Luo, Harry, Ryuichi (na no da ^-^), Suzu, Mizuki (not really proud of that one...), Aoshi, Muraki, Belial, Hana-chan, Watari, Yzak, Dilandau, Shesta, Kimblee (not really proud of that one either...), Kurama, Lukia, uhhhhh...

Well that's all I can think of for now. I have them all written on my math binder and that's at school so I'll have to look later. ^-^

Yes. My friends and I have been calling each other names from Love Hina. i.e. I am Keitaro because everyone loves to hit me, my "sister" is Su because of how ecentric she is, another girl is Naru because of how often she used to hit me, the most inocent person in the club we nicknamed Shinobu, one of the girls my friend likes is Sara because of how she seems to always being ploting something. That is all that I can remeber right now. I think you need at least three more. ;-)

My friends and I give each other nicknames all the time which sometimes are anime nicknames. I know that I've been called Hanajima (Furuba) before. But there aren't many I can remember right now.

The one I do remember is what I've nicknamed my baby brother. I like to call him 'Kyon-Kyon." I read him Furuba sometimes and when I say 'Kyon-Kyon,' he repeats it in this high-pitched, giggly baby voice and it's soooooo cute! He responds to it too... :p

My friends and I use original character names from our own series. My name is Jon, but my friends call me Jon... Maybe I should explain, my real name is like John, and my character, Jon Tsuyo, his name is pronounced with a long 'o', like Joan. And I call my friend Pesty, short for Pestilence. I've also been known to be called Mr. Kim-Kims, from Azumanga Daioh!... SO CUTE! If you've never read/heard of it, find it, like now.

The anime nicknames i've had are Momo (Xenosaga), Lumiere (Kiddy Grade), Rika (Digimon XD), uh, Rikku (Final Fantasy X, X-2), Ren (DearS), Marlene and Aerith (Final Fantasy; Advent Children) and, Kairi! Which is the nickname I use now, which is from Kingdom Hearts ^_^. Most of my nicknames were from the anime (or game for that matter ^_^) that I liked at the time O_O; X3

No offense to anyone who do do this, but my friends and I think it's ridiculous to take a character's name .. especially when you try to imitate that character (by saying their signature phrase or whatever). That's just how we think.

I got nicknamed Puruto (Pluto in English)...

(insert long explaination: Sailor Pluto, the planet, incidents with the number of sisters i have and where I am placed in the family line, Pluto in Armitage III, etc.)

Then they started calling me P-chan... which happens to be a pig in an anime that I can't stand and wish to gouge my eyes out everytime I see it. No offense to Rumiko Takahashi fans. :o

This same friend did have one anime nickname that stuck for some time. She was called "Ed" because of her short red hair.

Heh, the majority of my group has Saiyuki nicknames. For example, I'm known as Hakkai. Which makes for some interesting conversations, since sometimes we use the wrong pronouns for each other. One gets weird stares in public when that happens, one does.

My friends also think I have rather evil tendencies (I have no clue what they're talking about, really) so sometimes they refer to me as Kira. I take that as a compliment. :P

I'm Aya Fujimiya, Aya-kun, or just Aya. Heck, I refer to myself more as Aya than I do my real name.
The kun actually isn't really correct, but since Omi from Weiss calls everyone ~kun (I.E. Ken-kun, Aya-kun, etc), and my one friend is supposed to be Omi, I often get called Aya-kun by her.

I'm also: Tezuka-buchou, or just buchou.
I have a few more, like Hikaru from MKR, but we don't really use them.

I do call my fourteen year old sister To-chan, short for Toshiko, but that's because that's really her name. We're half Japanese, so we have Japanese names aside from our English ones. Whenever I see someone called To-chan in anime or manga, I have to make her watch or read it. ^^

^_^ I used to have Japanese nicknames (my favorite was Arisa, like Uotani Arisa) but my friends stopped calling me anything but my real name for a while. Then I started being called Rem, and now everyone calls me Rem. Although I didn't get it from Trigun, when I found out Vashs "mom"(figure) was called Rem it made me very happy ^_^ I even had her theem some playing on my journal for a while, but I took it down and then lost the file ;_;

Kazumi doesnt really come from anywhere. I kinda put it together myself from the name Kasumi meaning mist, and then used the Z to make it like Kaze meaning wind. But then i discovered that the name does exist! Someone in FullMoon was called that...and someone in DetectiveConan^^

It's just kinda funny because the -chan, -kun, -sama honorifics seem to be the biggest part of the nicknames that come up with anime fans. It's also something that most people wouldn't pick up on unless they were in the know. You know? I'd get sempai alot cause I would carry myself with an, "older brother personality" It's kinda flattering really.

Hmm...interesting thred haha well i actually started out with two different nick names Momo(from all my rpging friends and anime friends) cause when i first cut and dyed my hair i looked like Momo from Xenosaga XD (not so much now that its a little longer) haha and Chi from my anime/j-rock friends (they said i act like chi from chobits alot which still puzzles me cause i think i'm alot like Bou from the j-rock band 'An Cafe' O.o) at school. Well it was getting hard to tespond to thoes two sepertly (i also have the nick name smane but dont ask on that one heh) so i figured i would just combine them and came up with Momochi which works very well for me ^^ only recently did i find out that Momo ment peach haha so i guess i'm 'peach blood' haha i gave the nickname 'Plumb' to one of my best friends she reminds me of the chobits plumb alot.
