Kingdom Hearts Novelization

It's neat that TokyoPop is publishing the Kingdom Hearts manga in english, but you think they'll do the novelization?

Wouldn't that be awesome? I'd love to read KH as a fantasy novel. ^^

Anyone here read Japanese and has read or heard anything about this novel series? I heard they made a novelization of Chain of Memories too.

Well, I always try and listen to suggestions. Turns out that several of the Acquisitions Team members knew about it and tried to get it. Unfortunately, the KH novel is owned by Square Enix, so the chances of getting that license for TOKYOPOP is next to nothing.

Disney owns the manga. SE owns the novels. SE is usually a competitor. Sometimes deals can be made. It's being looked into. But I wouldn't hold your breath, hon.

I think the fans round these parts are pretty intelligent and passionate people--very familiar with their products. But what you have to remember is that everything, absolutely everything, depends first on licenses and then on sales. If something you love doesn't get picked up or continued, it's either b/c it won't sell (or in this case) is hard to come by. It's not due to laziness or ignorance on the company's part--that would be about as wise as burning money. ~_^

I'll keep you posted if anything develops!

yay!! I've already bought the all the manga. A novel would be different.
Kinda like what they did to chibi vampire. Except in Chibi Vampire novels they changed around the storyline. I wonder if they'll do that for KH also?

From what I've heard it's supposed to be the same story as the games but kinda expanded on. Character development and all that stuff. XD

I saw the novels on amazon a couple months ago. I hope Disney dosen't screw up the translation....
